Tony Devito v. Nova

Tons of opening stalling schtick, including a spot with Nova pulling down Devito's pants while he stood on the ropes. Devito is actually really good at playing the goofball here and they do a cool spot with Nova faking a dive, Devito turning around and then eating a plancha that almost wiped him out. Devito ends up on offense is good at basic shit stirring and execution. This had some good back and fourth at the end and an epic neckbreaker finish. Pretty good opener.

Skull Von Krush v. Spanish Angel

Angel wearing wrestling gear is funny for some reason. Angel does some wild theatrical bumps on the floor. Krush is pretty funny doing his mock peoples elbow that leads to a "Fuck The Rock" chant and screaming "fuck you lady" and other shit at random people in the crowd. When Angel took over this got real boring real quick.

Chris Chetti v. Justin Credible

I literally cannot believe how good this was. They started out at a really hectic pace and kept it throughout. Lots of solid looking early highspots from Chetti that kept Credible reeling. Credible takes over after a really smart transition as Jason pulls Chetti to the floor and tries to work over him, but Chetti stops him and sets him up for a piledriver only for Credible to hit a baseball slide driving Chetti into the steel. Credible ends up gong for a Razor's Edge but Chetti breaks out with a sneaky low blow. Jazz throws a chair in the ring for Credible to use, but he ends up eating an admittedly questionable looking DDT on it. Chetti ends up reeling off a string of nearfalls, but Lance Storm comes out and pulls the ref out of the ring on the double moonsault. Lynn hits the ring and the two of them take out Storm, but Chetti gets pinned after a blindside cane shot. I am nominating this mainly because it was a legit "WTF" type feeling to like this as much as I did.

Tom Marquez v. Rod Price

Price takes a nice over the ropes clothesline bump, shit talks a fan, then turns around and gets murdered with a top rope dive to the floor. This just pisses Price off and he whips Marquez into the steel, then beats him to shit with chairs and tosses him into the railing again. Marquez gets pinned a few seconds later. Fun squash.

Super Crazy v. El Mosco Del Merced

They do a bunch of fast paced flips/armdrags/counters/et. Pay off ends up being Crazy doing a bizarre over the ropes flip and then getting hit with an inside out dive. Merced tries a handstand rana but Crazy drops him fast first on the steel and then hits his moonsault into the crowd. Merced ends up hitting a leaping rana off the top when they get back in the ring and then another twisting rana followed by a sick looking flip senton to the floor with Crazy laid out flat on the concrete. Crazy launches Merced into the fifth row then tries to use the rail to dive out onto him but Merced decks him with a vicious chairshot. Crazy ends up changing course with a weird stunner stunner comeback spot, but Merced takes back over and hits a really awesome looking twisting splash. He goes for a moonsault but Crazy gets his feet up and then hits him with a powerbomb for the finish. This is a total spotfest but it was fun and a good showcase for Merced who deserves to make the set in some capacity.

Bubba/D-Von Dudley v. Danny Doring/Roadkill v. Axl Rotten/Balls Mahoney

I gotta say the opening bit with the Duz and Doring shitting on the crowd and then vowing to work an Australian rules, amateur match was pretty great. Axl ends up coming out after a few basic mat exchanges and turns this into a three way dance. Lots of fun stuff in this. Bubba with a nice senton. Roadkill taking an insane buck bump on the floor after a clothesline over the ropes, then an even more insane chair shot. Doring celebrating a chairshot on Axl and then Bubba comes in from off camera and just levels him with an even crazier shot. Roadkill takes the fall for his team after a double chair shot and Doring is bleeding a gusher from his fucking eye. Balls has D-Von covered for the pin when Mustapha hits the ring and cheap shots him. New Jack's music hits and the Dudz try and flee but they get hit with chairs by Axl. Dudz ends up winning after the Gangstas fight each other to the back.

Tommy Dreamer v. Steve Corino

This was basically a really long comedy match and a standard version of the match they were working around the horn at the time though it was done really well here. Pre-match bit with Francine/Corino/Dreamer on the mic was really good. Then they went into the "amateur" wrestling stuff which was cool though they had already run that shctick once on this show. Corino took some good bumps throughout. They did the "Francine shows her ass to all sides of the ring" bit. Corino did his teased plancha and teased chairshot. Really this was a greatest hits collection, including ladder bumps from Dreamer. Good stuff but I struggle to see this standing out of the pack at the end of the day.

Tajiri v. Taz

This is clean cut babyface Tajiri so it was worked differently from their other matches. I liked the opening mat exchange and Tajiri reversing a Taz pin attempt with a nifty roll up. Tajiri took a great bump off of a Taz front kick and fed himself well to Taz for a head and arm though Taz "I'm tough" act and total lack of selling got old real quick. Taz just throwing around suplexs here really pissed me off and the finish was stupid. This is probably the worst Tajiri match I've seen so far though it wasn't his fault at all.

Rob Van Dam v. Spike Dudley

There matches are all the same. You almost feel for Spike as you know he could have had a really good match with 96 Van Dam, but 99 Van Dam was too busy working Gallagher shctick into his wrestling.
