Posted November 27, 201015 yr comment_5458754 Pantera/Tauro Jr. vs. Canelo Casas/El Bucanero Fun to see young Pantera and Heavy Metal, and Tauro Jr. has a really pretty armdrag, but this was nothing special. Atenas/Irma Aguilar/Lola Gonzalez vs. La Monster/Maria Del Angel/Martha Villalobos Man, I am loving Martha in this 1989 stuff. She is awesome in this as she bumps around and then makes a vicious comeback where she ends up beating a lady into a bloody pulp. Less a good match then a good performance, but I am sure more Martha will make this set and I hope she ends up on some Joshi Americo Rocca/Blue Demon Jr./Mascara Sagrada vs. Bestia Salvaje/Blue Panther/El Supremo I Underwhelming technicos combined with great rudos kind of mailing it in. Panther and Bestia are always going to be worth watching, but this wasn't much Atlantis/Ringo Mendoza/Steve Nelson vs. Emilio Charles Jr./Fabuloso Blondy/Pirata Morgan Match is built around Morgan v. Nelson which I enjoyed, and Pirata does a Pirata level blade job. It's the 80's and Pirata Morgan though, more will come so I think we can leave this off the set. Pretty enjoyable though El Dandy/Satanico vs. Masakre/MS-1 Already reviewed
May 5, 201114 yr comment_5470791 Pantera/Tauro Jr. vs. Canelo Casas/El Bucanero What Phil said. This was unremarkable aside from the novelty of seeing young Pantera and young Heavy Metal. Atenas/Irma Aguilar/Lola Gonzalez vs. La Monster/Maria Del Angel/Martha Villalobos Good performance AND good match. Good performances all around, actually. Martha was definitely the star, buy the technicas sold and bumped really well and were all spunky on offense, and Monster and Maria both looked really good bullying brawlers and gave as well as they got. There was even a bit of nice comedy in there among the chaos, like Monster Ripper accidentally getting clubbered by her own teammates and Martha getting into it with some old dude in the front row. The finish was choice as already mentioned. I am actually gonna throw this up as a low-end nomination. Americo Rocca/Blue Demon Jr./Mascara Sagrada vs. Bestia Salvaje/Blue Panther/El Supremo I Yeah, there are at least a few guys in this match that I expect more from. Atlantis/Ringo Mendoza/Steve Nelson vs. Emilio Charles Jr./Fabuloso Blondy/Pirata Morgan I thought this was kinda unremarkable outside of Pirata's baldejob and Nelson's spastic tauntig of Ken Timbs in the first fall. We can pass on this one. El Dandy/Satanico vs. Masakre/MS-1 These are four guys I expect something from, and this time, they deliver. Not the best brawl they have ever been in, but it was still a great one. Really wild first fall, Dandy spitting in dudes' faces, a whole bunch of blood at the end, and a really clever finish make this a nomination in my book.

Irma Aguilar/Atenas/Lola Gonzalez vs. Maria del Angel/La Monster/Martha Villalobos (8/11/89) Yeah I'm with Phil here in that this was all Martha who was pretty damn fun here just beating on women and takes good punishment as well. The other women were fine here as well and this was a good match but I think it needed to be more dynamic to make the set. No on the nomination. Blue Demon Jr./Mascara Sagrada/Americo Rocca vs. Bestia Salvaje/Blue Panther/Supremo (8/11/89) Damn Bestia & BP together but this was underwhelming as they kinda just mailed it in. Disappointing. Atlantis/Ringo Mendoza/Steve Nelson vs. Emilio Charles Jr./Fabuloso Blondy/Pirata Morgan (8/11/89) Blondy with the sub-level Ultimate Warrior facepaint is hilarious while Nelson's very high singlet is kinda disturbing. Nelson's taunts of Blondy's taunt was great as he actually showed some personality. Nelson on offense here though was very hit and miss and there were times were he looked like he was never trained which is way different than he was over a month before. The rudos were pretty fun on offense as it was no frills just punches to faces and boots to body parts. Nelson & Pirata had some fun exchanges here with Pirata juicing for him which was nice but Nelson still wasn't flashy or clean here with his offense. This was fun but not a nomination. El Dandy & Satanico vs. Masakre & MS-1 (8/11/89) Satanico picking Dandy to go to war with Masakre & MS-1 was a great choice. No matwork to start here as they start brawling from the start which is what you want from a grudge match. These guys just kick each other's asses here with some hard hitting blows and some fun submissions to boot. Fuck a long-term Dandy/Satanico team would've been so great. The kneeling headbutt exchange between Satanico & MS-1 was so great. The bloodsucking here by both sides was fucking brutal. Everything is so violent and heated here then you add in the blood and you have a great lucha brawl. This is a definite nomination to me.
