Posted November 29, 201014 yr comment_5458882 Opening angle with Douglas in his hometown being jumped by Impact Players was pretty cool. Steve Corino v. Chris Chetti Lots of the early spots mirrored the match from the previous night with Nova. Corino is great at playing off of the crowd though and his pushing match with the ref and playing off of the "you still suck" chant were both cool additions to his normal schtick. They do the spot with the double headbutt leading to the babyface taking an incidental headbutt to the nuts which Corino sells the fuck out of as they go into a punch exchange where he holds his nuts and throws punches with the other hand in vain. Chetti ends up winning with his moonsault. Danny Doring/Roadkill v. Balls Mahoney/Axl Rotten This had a good pace to and was basically a steamrolling of the heels. The chairshot finish was pretty horrific. Pre-match shit with Doring may have been longer than the bout itself. FBI v. Rhino/Nova This is basically a replay of the night before except Rhino is playing the role of John Kronus here. Match goes on for a few and Nova ends up running in and making the save. Immediately following this Spike hits the ring and ends up squashing Sal. New Jack/Kronus v. D-Von/Bubba Dudley Highlight of this was the Dudleys pre-match shit talking ritual that nearly touched off a riot and saw Bubba instigate the ejection of multiple fans. Beyond that this was just your typical New Jack props match, with a huge Kronus blade job and some comedic stuff involving Bubba and a shopping cart. Sabu v. Skull Von Krush Jesus Christ even Fonzy is repeating his shitty commentary from the previous night. This match was damn near identical to the match the night before though with far fewer blown spots. Jerry Lynn v. Rob Van Dam Another one that falls under the "exactly what you would expect heading in." I just can't imagine anyone would watch this and think it had to make a set, even people who are fans of this style. These guys had much better matches. Impact Players v. Shane Douglas/Tommy Dreamer By the numbers match. I really don't like Douglas in this role and the Impact Players were in no way a compelling tag team.
