Chris Chetti/Nova v. Tom Marquez/Bilvis Wesley

JIP. What a shame. Prodigette and Nova both take pretty crazy head bumps in this for whatever that is worth.

Red Dog v. Balls Mahoney

This one is also JIP which kinda pisses me off because I imagine these two could have a good match and when it picks up Dog is hitting Balls with a huge dog bone and then getting punched in the face with a cup of beer. Mack telling the ref to shut up and explaining his use of legal palm strikes is amusing considering this is ECW and he just hit a guy with a massive dog bone. Match was pretty sloppy in parts so I guess the JIP wasn't so awful after all.

FBI v. Christian York/Joey Matthews

Another JIP match. Ridiculous spot with Mamaluke dropping down like Guido is going to vault off of him and instead Guido just hops over him on the corner charge. Guido stiffs Matthews with some hard strikes, then Mamaluke does some silly looking slaps. Sal was pretty great in this squashing dudes like bugs and almost killing Matthews on a guardrail smash. Mamaluke actually scored the fall. Decent.

C.W. Anderson v. Jerry Lynn

JIP yet again and picks up with Swinger decking Lynn with a chair behind the refs back. Both guys appeared to be laying in the shots pretty hard here, especially C.W. who really doesn't need much motivation to deck someone. I wish we had this in full.

Tajiri v. Psicosis

Psicosis being confounded by Tajiri's flipping and bullshit was amusing. Tajiri's facial expressions were so great in this as he crawls around on his knees mocking Psicosis and does a hilarious spot where Psicosis spits on him and he sells it as having a terrible taste. Tajiri ends up getting kneed in the balls on a handshake and then chopped to fuck. Psicosis avoids a head spinkick but then gets chopped down and has his head damn near kicked off. Tajiri gets in his own vicious chops. They end up on the floor where Psicosis takes over and..well..neither guy seems to know what the fuck is going on. After a reset they brawl onto a stage area and they do a spot with Psicosis dropkicking Tajiri who stumbles almost off the stage and then go back to the ring. Just a really disjointed sequence. back in the ring Psicosis bumps himself into the tree of woe and meets the usual fate. They go back and fourth a bit and Psicosis ends up running into a really nasty Tajiri thrust kick. Tajiri misses a moonsault and Psicosis hits his legdrop for the pin. Aside from the bullshit on the floor this was good, but the stuff on the floor was really bad considering who was in this.

Hot Commodity v. Roadkill/Danny Doring/Tommy Dreamer

This starts out as Money/Dinero v. Doring/Roadkill but Hamrick keeps interfering so Doring calls out Tommy as their back up. The look on Hamrick's face when Tommy's music hits is priceless. Dreamer ends up working FIP and eats an awesome springboard dropkick from Hamrick. Roadkill with the hot tag and he is just killing dudes. This was fun.

Rob Van Dam/Kid Kash v. Baldies

Reasonably fun tag. I liked Kash in this even if his offense was fairly sloppy as he seemed to be having fun and Baldies were decent enough working them over.

Steve Corino v. Scotty Anton

Corino is the face here and is entertaining throwing jabs early, taking drinks from fans to beat on Anton with, et. Anton chop blocks Corino from behind and goes to work on his leg. Ridiculous hope spot with Corino pulling Anton's pants all the way down on a sunset flip attempt for a nearfall. Anton makes Corino do the "clap" which gives Corino a break as he kicks Anton in the nuts and follows up with a superkick. Corino hits a nice suplex for a nearfall. He does a cool spot where he backs Anton into the ropes and hits him with a body shot. Anton ends up coming off the ropes and dropkicking Corino's leg setting up the sharpshooter. Some bullshit with Lou E and Victory causes the ref to miss the "Old School Expulsion" that corino hit for a missed pinfall. Anton wins with a foreign object shot. Corino was great in this but the booking blew.

Chilly Willy/Sandman v. Rhino/Justin Credible

This had good structure with Willy as FIP and the heels doing some decent, standard heel stuff to keep him isolated. Plus this allowed for the Sandman hot tag with cane which is one of my favorite reoccurring ridiculous ECW gimmicks. Sandman was really good on the apron building to it and I enjoyed his run once he tagged in though it was nothing new or special. Rhino took some pretty epic bumps down the stretch and the crowd was really fucking hot for this as it built. Insane spot with Sandman going for a second huracanrana off the top and Rhino presumably was set to counter with a powerbomb through a table but instead both guys tumble full speed, unprotected to the floor. Amazingly they aren't dead and Sandman hits a flip plancha on Rhino through a table for a nearfall. Sandman gores Rhino through the table for the finish. This is pretty much a picture perfect ECW clusterfuck as contradictory as that sounds. Sandman was really fucking great in this.
