December 26, 201014 yr Author comment_5461064 DDP finds out that he won't get his title shot against The Giant for winning Battlebowl, because he was eliminated without the ref seeing it earlier in the match, which he wasn't at all. I'm reminded of how PWI used to always make fun of WCW's anonymous decision makers, because they were sometimes the "executive committee" and sometimes the "championship committee".
December 26, 201014 yr comment_5461066 My brother and I were always highly amused by the WCW Executive Committee, which Hudson would talk about non-stop on WCWSN in late 1998/early 1999.
December 27, 201014 yr comment_5461071 DDP's feet did hit the floor in Battlebowl. See it here, about 3:40: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5jiz6_ba...itle-shot_sport
January 30, 201411 yr comment_5583267 Gotta love how they found a way not to give DDP his World title match. I smell Sullivan here.
February 4, 201510 yr comment_5652851 DDP was technically eliminated earlier in Battle Bowl, so they give his #1 contendership to...Lex Luger. Uh, shouldn't it go to the Barbarian, then? As surprising as DDP's win was, this was a pretty bullshit, modern-day-WWF style bait-and-switch.
March 23, 201510 yr comment_5660215 Yeah, how does Luger get the spot here. We do get a GOOD GAWD From DDP which is nice to hear in 1996 and he calls Gene Snapperhead. Pretty awful promo that the crowd doesn't care much about.
December 24, 2024Dec 24 comment_6026635 WCW executive committee with yet another ridiculous, horrible decision. Either way, it's good to see DDP and he is coming off of a pretty good match against Brad Armstrong. I NEED more Brad Armstrong in my life.
