The match is really short, and serves as more of a backdrop to get a bunch of extra people in the NWO, probably because they have a Souled Out show in January to build and need more people. VK Wallstreet, Bubba Rogers, Masa Chono and Scott Norton all join, and the group is officially oversaturated. The entire roster comes out and the ring fills up with people brawling. Sting comes out and everyone stops. Arn gets in his face and Sting pops him, which leads to Steve McMichael going after him and Rey doing the same. Hot segment, but this killed the NWO.

Wallstreet already joined the week before. Chono joined earlier in the show. This is the official turn of Bubba & Norton, and yeah, the nWo is officially saturated with JTTS. It certainly didn't kill the nWo, but it killed the aura it had during the first 6 months. The Sting spots were cool though, with untrusting WCW members jumping on him, leading to Sting packing off without even touching an nWo guy.

Bubba *and* Norton turn in the same segment, after Wallstreet and Chono joined earlier in the show. Yep, the NWO is officially oversatured, though they did at least set all these turns up a few weeks ago with Bischoff's ultimatum. This is actually a pretty half-assed crazy brawl, with guys mostly standing around. Sting comes in and gets attacked by Arn, Mongo, and then Rey Jr., and lays waste to all 3 of them before leaving. He took out three WCW guys and no NWO members, but they all attacked him first. Hmm...

Really a nothing match before the big run in. Yeah, this is a mis step for sure. Bischoff and Co. saying that NWO contracts are open for 30 days sounds neat in concept but things got too saturated and guys like Norton and Chono joining up with NWO really didn't make a ton of sense based on what their initial mission statement was. Horsemen and Sting in fighting is also dumb. I loved Nitro from the week before this but overall this show had a good many mis steps heading to Starrcade.

The nWo starts it's long process of bloating itself AND WCW guys are still on Sting even after he lays out nWo Sting on the same show.  Some of the worse aspects of WCW booking are starting to rear their ugly heads.

I assume the whole "nWo taking over the announce booth" thing over the last few weeks was some kind of way of getting their announcers in line for the Souled Out PPV as well as demoing the idea of an entire nWo TV show?
