Moreno had a great suplex finish of a fall, and a nasty tombstone. Still lots of rolls ups and meandering in between the finish. Also it's a hair match I want some blood. Chavo Guerrero/Cien Caras/Mascara Ano Dos Mil vs. Lizmark/El Satanico/Rayo De Jalisco Jr. Great, great match. Chavo v. Satanico is a dream match I hadn't dreamed and it was just awesome. There is a point where they are on their knees just pounding on each other. We also get a lot of fun Rayo v. Dinamitas stuff too, Rayo was damn athletic for a big dude he takes a huge high backdrop and hits his spectacular plancha. March 22, 201114 yr comment_5468055 Vicky Carranza vs. Rossy Moreno I kinda dig Rossy working as a rudo nun. It feels like that would be a good way to freshen up Vickie Guerrero's act if they run out of potential suitors for her. The match was not so good. Chavo Guerrero/Cien Caras/Mascara Ano Dos Mil vs. Lizmark/El Satanico/Rayo De Jalisco Jr. I am a bit less gung ho about this than Phil. It was a really big brawl, but some of the Rayo/Dinamitas comedy stuff felt forced and out of place. Still a great match. When Rayo wasn't doing comedy, his brawling with the Dinamitas was top notch. Didn't know he had a northern lights suplex in him. Also thought Lizmark gave a great brawling performance here. Not always a guy I think of for his brawling, but he was excellent brawling with Chavo outside the ring. And the Chavo/Satanico stuff was boss. The finish of the first fall with the Rayo northern lights suplex, Lizmark blasting Cien with a missile dropkick, and Chavo just bailing when he saw Satanico coming his way was awesome. Not perfect, but still very much a solid nomination. Jerry "El Puma" Estrada vs. Javier "El Monarca" Cruz Jerry Estrada always looks high as fuck. On a certain level, I kinda watch his matches with the idea that he's the rich man's Sandman. He'll do a lot of stuff that looks ugly, but it doesn't feel inappropriate when it's coming from him. He looks really high in the rest of the match, too, including the signature stumble on the apron face-first into the turnbuckle spot (I love that Jerry has signature coke freak spots the same way Porky has signature spots built around him having a heart attack mid-match, but I digress). Still, really spectacular bloody brawl. Both guys bring some big offense, and Jerry brings even bigger bumps. Plus he hits this one headbutt that sounded absolutely sick. I don't know about top 10, but it's an easy nomination.
July 23, 201213 yr comment_5510899 Caballera contra Caballera: Rossy Moreno vs. Vicki Carranza (10/20/89) Wow for a women's hair match this wasn't much of anything. Cien Caras/Chavo Guerrero/Mascara Ano Dos Mil vs. Lizmark/Rayo de Jalisco Jr./Satanico (10/20/89) Rayo wants a piece of the Dinamitas of course but the highlight here is Chavo & Satanico and holy shit was this a blast watching two of the all-timers warring with each other. It was fun watching Rayo & Lizmark brawl as well especially Lizmark who isn't known for his brawling but stepped it up here and hung with the big brawlers. Rayo's comedy stuff was kinda forced yeah but it was something you knew was coming so it didn't really bother me especially Chavo selling it like he did. These guys were hitting each other with force and you got the sense that these guys hated each other which is what you want here. We would also get the traditional lucha style here as well with guys flying around but the violence made this match great for me. This is a definite nomination to me. Already seen Cruz/Estrada.
