Posted December 7, 201015 yr comment_5459894 Ringo Mendoza/Hombre Bala/Gran Cochisse vs. El Supremo/Enfermero Jr./Talisman Fun to get a chance to see little known dudes, and it was crazy to see a masked Hombre Bala resplendent in canary yellow, some neat stuff, but far from a disc level match Tony Salazar/Halcon Ortiz/Cien Caras vs. El Satanico/Colosso Colosetti/Herodes This was great, I hadn't seen much Salazar before but he was going after Santanico just hard intense brawling. Herodes is great, and he is bumping all over the ring, I also really like Colosetti's shtick. Could have used a wilder ending, but this was solid excellent lucha libre between a bunch of guys who won't make the set much. Manuel "Mocho" Cota vs. Americo Rocca - NWA Welterweight Title Match This was a truly tremendous match. Lots of very cool mat wrestling in the beginning of the match with Rocca getting the advantage, and then Cota slickly works his way to dominance, it was like watching a masterful football team withstand an early rally and pound the ball down the throats of their opponents. Awesome almost Fuchish torturing from Cota, a crazy tope which had an even better take and a cool finish, great match which will finish high on the list of the unbloody.
December 3, 201114 yr comment_5489637 Ringo Mendoza/Hombre Bala/Gran Cochisse vs. El Supremo/Enfermero Jr./Talisman I liked this a lot more than Phil, but not so much that I can see myself pushing for it as a nomination unless someone else does. If nothing else, Cochisse ruled it here. Rudos did a great job kicking his ass, and I'd love to see the Cochisse/Enfermero caballera contra caballera match this was setting up. Tony Salazar/Halcon Ortiz/Cien Caras vs. El Satanico/Colosso Colosetti/Herodes There was some cool stuff here, but it didn't blow me away. I watched this disc with friends, though, so it didn't get my undivided attention, and I think I need to rewatch it before I pass judgement on it. If nothing else, Salazar punching the shit out of Satanico was really cool. Manuel "Mocho" Cota vs. Americo Rocca - NWA Welterweight Title Match This doesn't need a rewatch before I pass judgement. I've seen this match before. It was awesome then, and it's awesome now. An easy inclusion.
July 16, 201213 yr comment_5510318 Gran Cochise/Hombre Bala/Ringo Mendoza vs. Enfermero Jr./El Supremo/Talisman (1/27/84) Good match nothing special although the masked Hombre Bala was fabulous along with the bloody Cochise. Cien Caras/Halcon Ortiz/Tony Salazar vs. Coloso Colosetti/Herodes/Satanico (1/27/84) Satanico & Salazar were great here in schtick and in performance and definitely made me want a singles match between them. Herodes was really fun pinballing around for a guy his size and the others were fine in their roles but like I said Salazar & Satanico made this match good. Coloso had a great look here as he looked like he would've been a perfect jobber teaming with Ben Alexander on a Mid-Atlantic TV taping. I did like Ortiz's tope suicida to the floor as I wasn't expecting it at that time of the match. This was a fun match and I'll push it as a low-end nomination but nothing more really. NWA Welterweight Title: Americo Rocca © vs. Mocho Cota (1/27/84) This was a great match worked in the lucha title style with no blood and these guys do everything right here. The matwork was crisp with Rocca being dominant and then went it came to brawl Cota asserted his dominance there. The stretch run was also great with some great intensity before the finish which was well done. This is a definite nomination.
