They have a great recurring spot throughout this where Bubba will be getting wailed on and he just lays out D-Von with vicious open hand slaps that sound like shotgun blasts. Bubba's big avalanche splash is enhanced here with a ridiculous dry humping taunt. Loved the spot with Bubba blatantly wobbling the ropes to crotch D-Von and the subsequent dropkick into the diving chairshot looked cool. D-Von's diving headbutt was actually a really good nearfall and Bubba's desperation cutter was a good finish. Elementally this was sound and is at least worth a look.
December 15, 201014 yr comment_5460413 Bubba Dudley vs. D-Von Dudley (11/22/96) - As a match, this was nothing. As a fight, this was pretty damn fun. Two big dudes punching each other and throwing their weight on top of each other. Wished there was a better angle on the dropkick to D-Von’s face with the chair. Nice stretch run and I back the low-end nomination. I think in the end, this probably won’t make the cut while the super duper one will.
January 26, 201114 yr comment_5463112 Buh Buh Ray Dudley vs. D-Von Dudley (11/22/96) This was nothing but a fight with both men just kicking each other's ass. Buh Buh was so awesome in this period as a big babyface worker and I think that Heyman really missed the boat with the Dudz as a babyface tag team. Buh Buh took punishment well and D-Von was good at delivering it. I loved Buh Buh getting air on his dropkick to D-Von jumping off the top rope with the chair. Just when it looked like D-Von had Buh Buh dead to rights he came back with the Buh Buh Cutter to get the win in a really fun match. This was a bit on the short side but all action and I think a low-end is good call for this.
