Blue Meanie This was seriously an ass kicking as Dredd just beats the fucking shit out of Meanie with stiff shots, slams and finishes him off with a senton. Total ass beating. J.T. Smith v. Axl Rotten Holy shit this is wild. Axl just beats the hell out of Smith. J.T. takes multiple bumps over the guardail, into the chairs, gets beat with chairs, takes a fucking back body drop full elevation on the floor, et. He hits a slam on Axl on the floor and then a splash off the sound stage onto him. J.T. misses a diving elbow and ends up getting caught off the ropes with a sick suplex for the finish. Too short to rate but a lot of fun. Headhunters v. Bad Crew What I really wanted out of shape guys doing highspots. This had some of that but not nearly enough, though Bad Crew dude getting killed dead with a moonsault was awesome. Steve Richards v. Shane Douglas Shane rolling underneath Richards and chopping Meanie into a flat back bump on the floor was a really cool spot that I don't think anyone could have seen coming. Holy shit Shane busts out a diving headbutt of all things and then a rolling cradle. Strange spot as Douglas goes to duck a superkick but gets caught with one anyhow. Richards hits a sweet looking powerbomb for a nearfall. This is starting to have the makings of a really good match when Douglas wins with a flash belly to belly. Well that was a disappointing finish to a fun match. Dances With Dudley/Bubba Dudley v. Cactus Jack/Mikey Whipwreck Cactus shit talking pre-match was great. Bubba ends up going for the stuttering power bomb right away but Cactus escapes in desperation which was cool. Cactus ends up cutting a mid-match promo telling Mikey to leave and he'll go it alone and defend the titles himself. DWD hits a weird spinning kick on Mikey, who briefly takes over and tries to follow up with a plancha onto Big Dick who just catches him and thorws him back into the ring. This prompts Cactus to bail to ringside and punch Dick in the face and then retreat to the ring when Dick scowls at him. All the Dudz get together and crotch post Cactus. The longer this goes on the more of a mess this becomes and a literally can't even figure out what the fuck sort of psychological gimmick Cactus is supposed to be working. On the upside I did get to see some more cool DWD offense, Bubba tosses a keg into the ring and gets DDT'ed on it and Jack stiffs DWD. If you get past the earl y bullshit this had a really fun second half, but I just can't. Too Cold Scorpio/Eliminators v. Tommy Dreamer/Pitbulls Early part of this has me pissed off as even though it is amusing to watch Dreamer and Saturn slip around in beer, I wanted to see more Scorp. Sure enough Scorp hits the coolest spot of the match which was an assisted moonsault. Actually second coolest as Saturn's attempted suicide onto a table was way fucking crazier. The rest of this was kinda bleh. Sabu v. Jimmy Del Ray Del Ray dances at Sabu so Sabu punches him hard as fuck. Del Ray ends up on the floor and Sabu his an insane flip plancha onto him and Kane. Sabu hits one Air Sabu, but takes a fucking sick bump when he misses the second. Kane gets carried to the back by 911 after Del Ray hits a float over DDT. These guys exchange some nice punches and Del Ray hits a super kick and an elbow drop for a nearfall. They spill to the floor where Sabu hits an Air Sabu against the railing. Back in the ring Del Ray briefly takes over, but Sabu comes back and hits his flip legdrop for a nearfall. Del Ray with a big splash for a nearfall. Sabu with the rolling over on the monkey flip and a string of spots, including a sick clothesline and a split legged moonsault. Del Ray catches him going for another clothesline and hits a German for a nearfall. Del Ray misses a moonsault in a ridiculous fashion, but Sabu misses a frankensteiner and gets hit with a diving clothesline. Del Ray with a powerbomb and he grabs a chair from ringside. The take turns stopping each other from hitting moonsaults but Sabu goes to the top and hits an Arabian facebuster for the finish. This started off promising but ultimately was just a mindless back and fourth affair with no structure at all. Disappointing. Sandman v. Mr. Hughes Sandman tries to start a riot and picks a fight with a ringside man pre-match. Hughes was stiff as fuck early on and hit a nice dropkick to boot. God damn Sandman was either drunk or selling his ass off here or both. Sandman's comeback dropkick was awesome though you wanted Hughes to sell it better. Hughes gets Sandman in a chinlock which Sandman fights off by multiple fisting attempts. No I'm not kidding. Hughes control segment was not terribly interesting, though Hughes backfist looked sick as fuck. Amazingly they did a disputed finish with a ref bump in this. 911 and Jimmy Del Ray coming out and getting involved was even stranger. Bizarre.
