Posted December 14, 201014 yr comment_5460320 This does not have the story with Axl's arm being worked over like the other match of theirs I nominated, but it has most everything else. Axl is still a really good prick heel, Spike is still a really good spunky underdog. Axl picking up the chair and not using it, whiffing on a sit down splash, taunting Spike is all good stuff. Spike takes an insane over the ropes bump, hits a sweet rolling senton and gets some nearfalls with a diving clothesline, body press and Acid Drop. He goes up one final time and gets caught on the way down with a nasty clothesline for the finish. Good enough to get a look.
January 30, 201114 yr comment_5463503 Axl Rotten vs. Spike Dudley (1/31/97) This was the least of their nominated matches to me and while the match was good we have better from these two and this one can fall by the wayside.
