This is a really ridiculous match that alternates between violent as fuck and silly as fuck at random. For that reason a lot of people would probably hate it though I loved it, moreso in fact than a lot of the other matches from this feud. Spike is awesome in this taking a press slam onto the Duds early, taking a sick blade job early, hitting two huge dives off of platforms, getting hiptossed on a grated floor and then off that platform onto the ground, et. Balls and Bubba go back and fourth punching each other in the face early until Balls hits the cheese grater on accident and gets carved up. They brawl to a bar that Spike dives off of. Bubba and Balls beat each other with all kinds of shit from the bar, with Bubba over acting and selling everything in a stereotypical ol Jewish mans voice. They end up brawling to another area where they hit each other with potted plants. Back in the ring the Duds hit some big offense and seem to be out of it but Spike and Balls come back with some big chairshots. Spike looks like he might die from blood loss and the faces set up a table and throw tacks on it and set it on fire. Naturally they get cut off and Duds put both Spike and Balls through flaming tables at the same time for the finish.

D-Von & Bubba Dudley vs. Spike Dudley & Balls Mahoney (7/4/99)

- Damn, this is one of my favorite matchups. Pretty hot opening here with Spike and Balls doing stereo moves to send the Duds regrouping. At this point, they split off with Bubba and Balls brawling outside and Spike and D-von inside with Spike busted open. Cool punching sequence with Balls and Bubba ending up with Bubba blocking a punch with a cheese grater and Balls bloodied up with the cheese grater. Balls returns the favor busting up Bubba with a fork. Cool visual as the action is focused on Bubba and Balls but they cut quickly to Spike diving off a stage in the background. Man, this is a war! The outside setting makes this stand out since the weapons and garbage at their disposal makes it unique. This pairing may have 4-5 matches on the set before all is said and done. Tables, thumbtacks, flower pots. All good.

God I love the outside setting for this as it adds to what is going on in the ring. This started strong and they kept a violent pace going throughout the match with blood flowing everywhere with everyone taking a serious ass beating. Great bumping to go with some fun use of weapons leading to the great finish with flaming tables and this is a solid nomination.
