Posted December 16, 201014 yr comment_5460433 FBI v. Chris Chetti/Jerry Lynn Opening segment with Guido and Chetti is fun and leads to a ridiculous sequence where Tracy refuses to tag in then agrees to tag in and flips in on his back while the crowd chants "you fucked up." Cool escape from chetti as Guido is holding him in the corner and Chetti feeds him one leg and enzigrui's Guido with the other. Smothers stalling and shit talking with the crowd non-stop is a lot of fun. Loved Lynn getting taken over with a firreman's carry and Guido paintbrushing him in the back of the head from the apron. Tracy punches Lynn in the face but ends up on the run after an armdrag and dives to the ring in wild fashion to avoid Lynn's quick attack. Smothers gets in the ring and shit talks Lynn, shoving him and just generally being an asshole while the crowd gets more and more pissed off. This of course leads to a shoving spot that ends with Pee Wee Moore shoving Smothers into a rollup nearfall. Cool spot as the babyfaces hit a combo diving bulldog for a nearfall. They do an act where Smothers accidentally gets legdropped by Guido and they tease dissension which gives Lynn time to really off some offense on both guys. Lynn ends up baseball sliding Smothers but the Big Don comes over with the cheapshot and sets up the Lynn FIP. Cool FBI atomic drop/pump kick combo on Lynn. Tracy busts out a rope eyerake and a back rake which is tremendous. Cool double team to set up a Guido rana for a nearfall. Ref bitches at Smothers for another back rake and Tracy says "I've cheated all my life" as a response which is awesome. Cool spot as Lynn fights back on a chinlock but takes two back fist to knock him back down. The hot tag is set up off of a suspect looking double dropkick from Lynn. After a brief babyface run and a big splash to the floor from Lynn they do the flagpole shot to Chetti for the finish. Really good match, with some minor flaws and a horrible crowd. Roadkill v. Doug Furnas Really a nothing match. Axl Rotten/Balls Mahoney v. Chris Candido/Lance Storm Balls gets taken out pre-match. This was all Axl FIp which was pretty decent though his comeback sucked. Led straight too. Lance Storm v. Chris Candido We have this on tv. Bobby Duncum Jr. v. Al Snow Duncum hit some nice offense and I enjoyed him clubbing Pee Wee Moore with the bell on his bullrope but overall this was nothing special. Justin Credible v. Tommy Dreamer We have this on tv. Bubba Dudley v. Sandman I actually liked a fair amount of the early action in this but the finish was just awful bullshit with all the Duds running in and a stolen fall. Blah. D-Von Dudley v. Spike Dudley Too much Dudley interference for this to mean anything. I wanted to like this as Spike worked hard but the longer this went on the more obvious this was just a set up for the inevitable New Jack run-in. Bam Bam Bigelow/Shane Douglas v. Rob Van Dam/Sabu Shane works FIP and does a pretty good job of it. Really his selling carries this match as it allows you to forget how crummy a lot of the Sabu/RVd offense looks. Cool sequence with Sabu hitting a dive on to Douglas, Douglas fighting back, Bammer diving off the apron onto Sabu and then RVD leaping to the floor and wiping everyone out. Shane ends up pinballing around after some crowd brawling including taking a crazy bump over the ropes to the floor. Douglas ends up taking the table rolling thunder but Bam Bam breaks up the pin. REally stupid finishing sequence and too many slow parts keep this from being nomination, but there was more good than bad.
