Posted December 16, 201014 yr comment_5460456 Jerry Lynn v. Chris Candido I liked this. Lynn was running Candido into the ground with head lock takedowns early and Candido took over with Francine help and ended up reeling off some good offense on Lynn. Lynn's comeback spots were a lot of fun. Candido did the bit where he wrestles with half of his ass out and was doing his punch drunk sell. He ends up taking back over but gets caught doing the Fargo Strut and hit with a bulldog. Lynn rattles off some offense but Francine and Shane keep helping out Candido. Nice finish with Candido missing a diving elbow and then sitting forward on a sunset flip ala Bret v. Bulldog. Not a lock for the set but something I think should be considered. Chris Chetti v. Justin Credible Everything in this looked weak and fake as fuck until Jason got involved on the floor and pelted Chetti with a sick chairshot. That didn't safe the match of course because the end result was Credible on offense but it could have been worse I guess. Not worth seeing. Paul Diamond v. Al Snow Diamond working the arm early was semi-shocking even though it went nowhere. Oh well. Diamond's offense looked like shit by the way. Brakkus v. Danny Morrison Total squash with Morrison almost getting killed by a Brakkus powerbomb. Taz v. Super Nova Total squash. Tommy Dreamer/Balls Mahoney/Axl Rotten v. FBI Rich does the whole World six-man tag team bit pre-match. I loved the opening Guido and Dreamer exchange as Guido was hilarious jawing with the crowd and reacting to Dreamer's offense. Pay off of Tommy Rich calling a time out with a whistle so the FBI doesn't come to blows was great. Cool spot with the Rich and Smothers accidentally punching each other and I even liked Jeff Jones powder in the eyes spot here as it set up the Axl FIP. Rich and Axl flub a spot and Rich misses a fistdrop to set up the hot tag. More Jones gimmeckry leading to the finish. I liked this a good bit, but this is clearly the least of the FBI "six-man title" defenses. D-Von/Bubba/BIg Dick Dudley v. New Jack/Spike Dudley/John Kronus I didn't like this, but New Jack was somewhat entertaining in spots. Bam Bam Bigelow v. Rob Van Dam Pretty much exactly what you want to see out of a match from these two. Bammer taunts RVD's karate stance with the crane. Bam Bam throws Van Dam on his head. Bam Bam takes two nutty bumps head first into the guardrail. Bam Bam takes a flip bump off the top, but also spikes RVD with a DDT. Bam Bam chucks RVD into the crowd wildly. Bam Bam ultimately wins with a nasty powerbomb out of a reversal. This had too much of RVD being RVD for it to be a slam dunk or even close to it, but it was still on the high end of what you would hope for from an RVD match. Sandman v. Sabu Total clusterfuck, but an entertaining one. Features shit like Sandman getting hit with a diving chairshot while he is wearing a ladder around his neck, Sabu taking a suplex onto said ladder, Dueling top rope huracanrana's and Sabu breaking a piece of a ceiling fan off mid-match while standing on the top rope looking for balance. Finish sucked and this wouldn't have been a nom anyway, but it was a nice trainwreck at least up until that point.
