Posted December 16, 201014 yr comment_5460458 Pretty much exactly what you want to see out of a match from these two. Bammer taunts RVD's karate stance with the crane. Bam Bam throws Van Dam on his head. Bam Bam takes two nutty bumps head first into the guardrail. Bam Bam takes a flip bump off the top, but also spikes RVD with a DDT. Bam Bam chucks RVD into the crowd wildly. Bam Bam ultimately wins with a nasty powerbomb out of a reversal. This had too much of RVD being RVD for it to be a slam dunk or even close to it, but it was still on the high end of what you would hope for from an RVD match.

RVD takes a lot of punishment early and the fans want Bammer to chunk him in their direction. RVD would go on offense using his normal arsenal and both men bump well here for the other which is no surprise. Bammer would finally throw RVD into the crowd when they were on the floor which popped the crowd before just nuking him with a powerbomb to win. This was a very solidly worked match even with RVD in it and this moves forward easily.
May 27, 201114 yr comment_5471993 Bam Bam Bigelow vs. RVD (1/9/98) - Really great match here. It really picks up after RVD takes a dive to the outside and is practically powerbombed on the concrete. No flubbed spots, both guys kept pushing on and this may be the best Bam Bam Bigelow singles match in ECW. Nomination.
