Posted December 16, 201014 yr comment_5460487 Tracy pulls a sign out of the crowd that says "The Big Don Is The Icon" which they parade around with. Rich says Bob Geigel, the "President" told him he didn't have to wrestle contractually unless it was a World Six-Man Title defense so the crowd won't have the pleasure of seeing "this big fatass wrestle." Then he insists the ref claim the match a forfeit victory for the FBI since Balls and Axl don't have a partner. Naturally the Sandman's music hits while Rich freaks out. FBI jump him at the bell but they end up clearing house quickly with Rich taking a double back body drop on the way out. The announcer actually announces the match as being for the Six-Man Championship which is awesome. Rich puts up his dukes and they do a spot where Guido/Smothers are "holding him back." Rich demands Sandman start off against him and then bails. The crowd chants bullshit and Rich grabs the mic and says "that is bullshit" and then demands Guido start before instructing Sandman that he will kick his ass in a minute. Axl and Balls end up working over Guido with some fast paced stuff and some nice double teams. Balls ends up getting caught in the FBI's corner and they work over him with some triple team spots. Rich biting Balls face and then spitting into the crowd was awesome. Cool spot as Rich misses a corner charge elbow and Guido has to sprint into the ring to stop the hot tag from happening. Rich ends up missing a second rope elbow but Sandman gets the hot tag and starts caning people. Rich lights up Sandman with a nasty forearm and then ends up chasing Rich out of the ring and to the back while trying to cane him as Balls hits his finish for the pin. Rich was really great in this which is why I am nominating it.
February 7, 201114 yr comment_5464078 Axl Rotten, Balls Mahoney, & The Sandman vs. The Full Blooded Italians (Little Guido, Tommy "Wildfire" Rich, & Tracy Smothers) (1/23/98) Mr. Bob Geigel NWA President said that Rich could only wrestle in a 6-man match so the Sandman comes out to make it happen. Rich was so awesome explaining the situation then he was awesome at stalling and ducking around Sandman agreeing with the crowd that yes it was bullshit. The work between the normal teams was solid as usual but it's Rich & Sandman that makes this match a nomination as they added to that very well. This is a nomination.
May 27, 201114 yr comment_5471995 Sandman, Balls Mahoney & Axl Rotten vs. FBI (1/23/98) - Love Tomy Rich on the mic. Weird structure early on as Guido plays heel in peril and he is really good at getting his ass beat but you start to feel bad for the guy after awhile. I have noticed this in a lot of ECW tags but when the momentum shifts, it isn’t usually off a game changing move. In this case, Guido escapes a slam and pulls Ballz down by the hair so now Ballz is your FIP. FBI in control is great but the ending was just kind of there. Don’t we have this matchup on the set or nominated already? I think we can pass on this one.
