Nova/Blue Meanie v. FBI

All the opening stuff with Guido and Nova was great as Guido made Nova's bullshit look good by hamming it up big time. Rich gets on the mic and sets up the Tracy/Meanie dance off with Smothers busting his ass on the backflip over the rope to enter the ring. Cool way to break it up as Smothers drills Meanie with a dropkick after the ref dances. Rich is so pissed he gets into the ring and gets shoved on his ass by the ref which leads to the spot with the ref double clotheslining and body slamming the FBI to a massive pop from the Southern crowd. Nova does a huge tope that sends the FBI flying half way down the aisle off of a Meanie dive fake, but Rich takes over by hitting a nasty diving bulldog into the railing on Nova, crotching him on the railing a minute later and hitting him with a blindside clothesline right after. Some cool FBI double teams, including the atomic drop/pump kick combo which always looks great. Rich takes his fingers and rubs them into Nova's eyes and then shows his paint to the crowd. Really good cut off as Nova turns a sunset flip attempt into a legdrop but Smothers rakes his eyes on the nearfall and then tags him with a good looking dropkick. Another cool spot with Nova countering a powerslam attempt with a roll up. And yet another cool one with a Smothers backfist knocking Nova out as he got back up on a chinlock/work the crowd spot. Nova finally gets the hot tag off of his powerbomb/elbow combo and Meanie who looks crazy fat here hits a bunch of fat man offense and knocks Rich face first on his ass through a table taking him out which sets up a clean Nova fall over Guido. This might have been the best match of their entire series.

John Kronus v. Jack Victory

Decent brawling in the early going due to Victory's bumping but this went nowhere and didn't last long.

Chris Chetti v. Taz

Holy fuck Chetti missed a back kick in this by a good foot and a half. Taz had some stiff looking offense and i liked his suplexes but other than that this was a waste of time.

Justin Credible v. Jerry Lynn

Lynn's opening barrage was really fun especially his headscissors which looked really explosive and the follow up rolling senton. Did not care for Credible's offense, but Lynn's comeback was pretty good. He ends up hitting tombstones on the Justin crew and then low blows Nicole Bass. Of course this allows Justin to steal a win.

Rob Van Dam v. Mike Lozansky

J.C. Ice is in Lozansky's corner but there is still no way that is saving this match. Actually this was a lot better than I expected. Still way too much bullshit with the chair, but I thought Lozanky had a cool counter or two, I thought his big dives were good and I enjoyed the suplex on the floor as a low key but brutal looking spot.

Sabu v. Danny Doring

This did have a funny table spot with Ulf Herman going through a table that catapulted Doring who was on the top of the table to the floor. Other than that this was nothing special.

Lance Storm/Chris Candido v. Balls Mahoney/Axl Rotten

I liked the early going of this a good deal, especially Balls missed cross body and Candido's pinballing around for the babyfaces. Axl ends up going FIP, and while he plays it well, a lot of the momentum gets sucked out of the match at this point. Candido's sell of the nutcraker suite was awesome and then they do a spot where Candido piledrives Storm so he could get the fall for his team as a finish. Pretty good overall.

Lance Storm v. Chris Candido

Okay match. These guys were capable of better. Storm's top rope powerbomb did look great though.

Al Snow v. Bam Bam Bigelow

This was booked really evenly and while I was not a huge fan of the bulk of this I was really starting to get into it when Snow hit his moonsault for the nearfall. Then Candido ran out and we got a nearly immediate finish. Oh well.

D-Von/Bubba/Big Dick Dudley v. Spike Dudley/Tommy Dreamer/Sandman

Everything about the Spike/Bubba segment is great from Spike being super aggressive to the vicious Bubba powerbomb and subsequent Spike sell job, to Spike taking big height bumps off of every basic move, to Bubba punching Spike right in the face, to Spike's fired up comeback with rana, to Bubba's bumps on the armdrag, to Bubba's retreat to the corner. Just awesome shit. Amazingly I actually liked the Big Dick/Sandman stallfest as it set up a big over the top bump by Dick leading to the inevitable "shit is breaking down" brawling. Spike ends up hitting a crazy dive on everyone. Dreamer trying to hang D-Von was an uncomfortable moment, but D-Von retaliating shortly after that with a crotching on the rail at least stuck to the theme of underlying racism, as immasculation of white males by black counterparts is a prevailing fear of the Southern, white, male mind. Cool sequence with Dreamer hitting his frog splash and Bubba hitting a nice suplex flows right into a really hot nearfall off of an Acid Drop from Spike. Big Dick and Sandman segment that follows this is even fairly decent as Sandman finally gets his cane out and they do some decent teaser stuff with Dick who has to be the least mobile and shittiest offense wrestler of this era. This somehow transitions into a spot with Beulah and Gertner locking up after Jeff Jones runs out and knocks out a ref. Beulah DDT's both of them and though the attempted prop shots weren't that well done, the finish with Spike leaping into a Big Dick chokeslam looked great. Fuck it, I'm nominating this.
