Chris Chetti I got to say the spot with Chetti hitting a deep springboard dropkick which resulted in Doring taking a whiplash bump off the ropes and landing head first onto Chetti's crotch really looked great. I even liked some of the more goofy counters in this one. I also dug the Doring dropkick off the Chetti hope spot as it hit clean and looked like a real momentum buster. Chetti's comeback spots looked pretty decent as well and Doring not doing the best catch job on the plancha actually made it look better. Chetti's pin had the feel of a real coup for him. I am nominating this. I can't see it making the set really, but it was a bit of miracle match and is sort of indicative of why in these sort of projects someone really needs to watch everything as I had this marked off as a sure fire piece of shit match and if you can get behind some shitty strikes from Chetti and questionable offense from Doring this was good wrestling. FBI v. Super Nova/Blue Meanie I am not a Nova fan but his opening exchange with Guido was fun and I liked the reversal spot off the Smothers back body drop on the apron. Also Meanie laughing hysterically at Guido getting tossed to the ground was funny. Dance off this time ends with Meanie and the ref doing a double hip toss leading to a series of spots that culminates in the ref getting a nearfall on Guido. Action spills to the floor and Rich punches Nova right in the face and hits him with the diving bulldog into the railing. They run through a lot of the same spots from the Baton Rouge show done just as well. I really liked Guido changing it up a bit and getting a nearfall with a big splash off the top and a powerbomb. Nova counters a clothesline with a cool legsweep but gets knocked back down with a jump kick. Cool drop toehold/diving elbow combo and the FBI really worked the hell out of some quality double teams in this one. nova with the hot tag off his ball busting powerbomb and Meanie comes in and hits some big spots as Nova plancha's Tracy on the floor. Finish is a wheel barrow DDT from the babyfaces. Damn near the same level as the match from the last show. Jerry Lynn v. Justin Credible This had the typically strong Jerry Lynn opening barrage, with a sprinkle of crowd brawling thrown in before Lynn gets distracted by Charity to set up his face in peril run. They do some pretty cool escapes by Lynn of big Credible stuff, but some of the stuff was pretty sloppy. Naturally this ends with Jeff Jones bullshit. Fuckers. Axl Rotten/Balls Mahoney v. Mike Lozansky/Ulf Herman Axl asking Gabe/RF to go get a fans number because he's sucking cock was...strange. Lozansky's kicks looked fucking horrible in this, but I did like Balls spill to the floor and getting face planting on the guardrail to set up the FIP. Gotta give Lozansky credit for the bump on the backdrop driver that led to the hot tag and his subsequent annihlation via chairshot. Jack Victory v. Spike Dudley The beginning of this was simple but effective with Victory hitting slams every time Spike came inside and tried to lay in his forearms. Spike gets tossed to the floor but lands on his feet and catches Victory by surprise with a dropkick and a series of forearms. Victory takes a crazy leaping bump to the floor from the apron off of the last forearm and Spike follows it up with a diving plancha that Victory avoids, though Spike does cream Lance Wright with it. Victory drills Spike with a chairshot. Spike blades and is selling the shit out of Victory's punches. He takes a big guardrail bump chest first which he sells great as Victory walks around ringside calling people whores. Victory hits a big suplex and is just toying with Spike as he stands on him for the cover. Spike starts to make his comeback but Victory moves on a corner charge and Spike takes a great bump to the post. Spike finally makes his comeback with the Acid Drop but the Duds run in and break up the match before their can be a finish. This would have been an easy nomination with a half way decent finish, so it still deserves a viewing. Bam Bam Bigelow v. Lance Storm Bam Bam's one armed vertical with his middle finger up ruled. I also liked the falling down clothesline as a cut off. When he went to the top I was almost certain he was going to miss the headbutt and sure enough he did. Storm hit a big splash of all things for a nearfall when he went back on offense and then they went into a series of reversals that ended with Bam Bam hitting the Greetings From Asbury Park. Fun enough. Post-match huge brawl with Taz and Bigelow that spilled outside and featured some insane table bumps. John Kronus v. Rob Van Dam God this is the match up from hell. Tons of bullshit from both guys, plus a non-stop Fonzy whistle. I did like Kronus splash mountain okay but otherwise this was shit. D-Von/Bubba Dudley v. Tommy Dreamer/Sandman God there is some dumb shit in this one involving a huge wooden ladder. I mean some super fake looking shit. Jack Victory runs out and then Spike. Spike ends up doing a huge dive through a table onto Victory which is easily the best thing in this match. Of course the Duds win with a 3d right after that.
