Posted December 17, 201014 yr comment_5460518 Axl Rotten/Balls Mahoney v. FBI Rich punting a chair pre-match was funny. Jesus this gets weird quick as Guido gets spanked by Rotten and then Rich runs in the ring and Axl spins him around and starts humping him while screaming 'that's what they like." Then the crowd chants "you suck dick" at the FBI which Smothers mimes the act. This leads directly into the FBI staple "hand clap" off for the crowds approval. They take over on Balls after he misses a big legdrop off the top and Rich ends up whacking him on the floor with the flagpole. Decent FIP from Balls and I liked that they did wrestling moves for the finish, but this was not one of the better matches from this series. Mike Awesome v. Dr. Luther Well this was random as fuck. Awesome takes a scary bump on the floor. Awesome's tope looked especially crazy here. Luther's dive was nuts too. This just seems to go on and on and has a really stupid spot right before the finish that made me cringe. Mikey Whipwreck v. Mike Lozansky This was actually a decent back and fourth match with some fun offense but the finish sucked ass as the dive into the whippersnapper didn't come off clean at all. D-Von/Bubba Dudley v. Chris Chetti/Spike Dudley Spike schooling D-Von on the mic was a fun way to start this, especially when Bubba instructed him to "not try and wrestle with the little shit, beat him up." Bubba comes in and just eats Chetti alive. Chetti comes back on Bubba but gets into it with sign Guy on the floor which puts him right back ont he defensive. Cool sequence with Bubba getting rana'ed to the floor by Spike and then plancha'ed by Chetti. Bubba fucking demolishes Chetti with a chair shot on the floor and then D-Von tops it with an even worse one on Spike. Spike is FIP as a result of all of this. Cool spot with Spike getting cut off on a hope spot by a powerbomb though there was some sloppiness leading up to it. Man does Spike get mad elevation on a back body drop. Acid Drop ends up being the spot that finally gets the hot tag to Chetti. Bubba ends up killing Chetti with a powerbomb for a nearfall. Chetti came back and hit his moonsault but Sign Guy got involved long enough to set up the 3d finish. I liked this, but it was not a great performance from anyone. Taz v. Lance Storm Man I really fucking hated this. Storm's stuff looked like shit and Taz was such an annoying prick in these matches it was often hard to find them enjoyable even when the other guy was working hard. Danny Doring/Jack Victory v. Tommy Dreamer/Blue Meanie Bizarre match that is hard to even explain really. Victory and Dreamer basically worked a singles match with the other guys on the periphery. Nothing interesting really. Justin Credible v. Sandman Boring match tough Sandman did his best with decent selling to make it interesting. Rob Van Dam/Sabu v. Bam Bam Bigelow/Chris Candido All spots some poorly conceived some not. Bam Bam took some stuff well which I marked for but overall this was a real trainwreck without the charm of some of the other ECW clusters.
