Balls Mahoney/Axl Rotten v. FBI

They are in Atlantic City and pre-match Rich announces on the house mic that he wishes the hurricane had destroyed the whole town which means I was at this show as I remember that line well. Axl fleeing in terror from what he claims was a potential rape from Guido and then doing the spanking/humping of Tommy Rich sequence was even creepier this time around. More gay-baiting with the "you suck dick" Tracy blowjob miming. Smothers says "now we go to motherfucking go to school" and naturally this is in the midst of an epic stall job. Good short clothesline from Balls and Tracy ends up catching Balls with a kick taking some time afterwords to curse out some more fans. They are running through just about everyone of the Tracy/Balls spots here and the pay off is Balls flying over the top and getting dropped the guardrail and then on a table by Rich. Really good Balls In Peril spot with Balls fighting off the FBI in their corner with punches and elbows only to get dropped on a toehold and hit with a diving elbow. Axl gets the hot tag after a backdrop driver on Guido and the initial clothesline he hit on Smothers looked really stiff. Rich gets knocked to the floor and they did their finishers in stereo for the fall. While similar I thought this was a better version of the show from two weeks before.

Mikey Whipwreck v. Jerry Lynn

The opening back and fourth is really well done and smooth looking. This gradually escalates into a chop exchange that ends with Lynn jumping up and kicking Mikey in the face and then locking in a Scorpion deathlock of all things. Lynn drags Mikey to the floor and stiffs him with a forearm, but Mikey reverses a guardrail whip and then has the good sense to sell his previous beating while he tries to slowly build some momentum. Mikey hit a nice spinning elbow and a Russian legsweep for nearfalls. Lynn blocks a whippersnapper and hits a belly to back. Lynn hit his legdrop for a nearfall and then a really great looking top rope frankensteiner for another. They end up going to a weird finish with Mikey hitting a top rope whippersnapper only for Lynn to fall on top of him for the finish. This had some really good stuff in it, but the oddball pacing hurt it as you could tell Lynn wasn't totally comfortable coming down from the early pace and Mikey wasn't ready to go to a hot nearfall segment. Still a good match, but not their best.

Spike Dudley v. Sal E. Graziano

Exactly what you would think and a real waste of Spike's talents.

Masato Tanaka v. John Kronus

This was better than I would have guessed as I enjoyed Tanaka's low grade mat work and there was some build to the big spots. Not really a good match but not a nightmare by any means.

Taz v. Chris Chetti

I will say this, Chetti really was good fodder for Taz as Taz would beat the hell out of him and Chetti seemed to bump extra hard for him.

Lance Storm v. Chris Candido

Candido's spinning headscissors looked awesome and man did he go splat on the inside out vertical suplex. Storm actually hits a really nice looking springboard clothesline. Love the way Candido sold Storm's powerslam as he wrenched his entire back forward before collapsing. This got really your turn, my turn but it was good stuff. Candido hit a sweet looking top rope frankensteiner and a nice diving headbutt where he actually sold the impact as well. Candido goes for his top rope powerbomb but Storm leaps down and ends up catching Candido with a powerbomb when he jumps at him. Ref bump and Shane hits the ring with a chain. After several counters Candido hits the chain punch for the finish. I am passing this through because I think others might like this more than I did, though I do think it was a good match.

Tommy Dreamer/Super Nova/Blue Meanie v. Jack Victory/Mike Lozansky/Danny Doring

The opening of this was like a comedy greatest hits and then they went to the crowd brawling. I enjoyed Meanie and Victory's segment once they got back to the ring as Victory was stiff as hell and Meanie hit a nice splash. Then they let Dreamer and Doring take center stage and that wasn't bad. Lozansky and Nova took their turn next and while I liked Lozansky's dropkick it was easily the weakest pairing. Nova ends up FIP which isn't surprising. Victory is really great taunting the babyfaces while they cut off the ring on Nova. Surprise, surprise Nova makes his comeback off of his powerbomb/nut elbow combo spot. Dreamer gets the hot tag and they got to a spot where all six-men are in the ring before the faces heat a wheelbarrow double DDT for the pin. Fun. Made you really wish Jack Victory had worked more matches in ECW.

Justin Credible v. Sandman

This was a bunch of bullshit with Credible's seconds. Sucked.

Rob Van Dam/Sabu v. D-Von/Bubba Dudley

Boring with shitty looking highspots.
