Posted December 18, 201014 yr comment_5460582 Konan tying Sandman up in knots and then drilling him with a piledriver which Sandman sold really well was incredible. Sandman selling his ass off in an STF and dragging Konan to the ropes was great. Sandman is really great in the rope running exchanges and takes a nasty rolling clothesline. Sandman taking a break in the front row was pretty great. Sandman takes over and Sandman hits his inside out legdrop which Konan really sold well. Sandman ups the ante with a flip slingshot leg drop for a nearfall. Sandman hitting out a piledriver and breaking out a cigarette mid-match was awesome. Sandman sells the fuck out of a nut shots and Konan snatches the cane from Woman and beats the shit out of him. They end up going into a dueling canes spot and both of them cane multiple refs. Locker room clears and this is a good match with a non-finish.
January 22, 201114 yr comment_5462649 ECW World Heavyweight Title: The Sandman © vs. Konnan (10/6/95) I always thought WCW dropped the ball with Konnan as he had a great look and could've been really big but they would put him in the nWo where he became a hype man with the gangsta look. Konnan really took it to Sandman here with a mixture of holds and power moves with Sandman being good at taking the punishment. After taking a break in the crowd, which was great, Sandman would go on offense and hits his signature spots with Konnan selling nicely before Sandman would pull out a cigarette and lit up after a piledriver allowing Konnan to come back with a low blow which was awesome. Konnan puffed on the cig then grabbed the cane and started nailing Sandman which led to dueling canes and the refs eating cane shots as well for a DDQ finish. This was fun stuff and I think this moves forward.
May 29, 201114 yr comment_5472087 Sandman v. Konan Low End Nomination - ECW FanCam 10-6-95 - I thought Konan looked solid here on offense but man, Sandman was so bad. The story with Sandman getting bested and having to continuously regroup was solid. At one point he just sits in the crowd like WTF? Hey Sandman on offense was surprisingly decent. No complaints. The cigarette spot was great as Sandman crumples with it still in his mouth, Konan takes it, takes a puff and tosses it at Woman. The dueling canes was fun but stupid and I hated the ref smash and non finish. Low end nomination but this was fun.
