Danny Doring/Mike Lozansky v. Balls Mahoney/Axl Rotten

The crowd was super hot for this. Lozansky looked better than normal but Axl dripping spit into Doring's face while asking him if he spat or swallowed was bizarre. Decent.

Ulf Herman v. John Kronus

Not anything you would ever care to see. Kronus plancha was horrible in this.

Taz v. Chris Chetti

I actually like this match up okay for Taz because Chetti always takes his stuff really well but this is not anything anyone needs to see.

Bam Bam Bigelow v. Blue Meanie

Bigelow wins via choke.

Jerry Lynn/Masato Tanaka v. Mike Awesome/Justin Credible

I thought this was okay. The heat section on Lynn was well worked and I liked his rana comeback. Tanaka was stiff as usual and Awesome hit a sick tope. The problem to me was that the flow of this seemed off and I didn't like the execution on a few of the key spots.

Lance Storm v. Chris Candido

Pretty much their staple match, but with shittier execution than normal. Some of this stuff was a spot for spot replication of previous matches.

FBI v. Tommy Dreamer/Sandman/Spike Dudley

Opening stuff was fun with Guido bucking up on Dreamer, getting tossed around, then some comedy spots with the FBI. Smothers gets on the mic and tries to counteract the "fuck him up Sandman" chant with a "fuck him up Big Don" chant. Awesome spot as Rich takes off his shirt to start posing and then as Sandman does the same he punches him in the ribs and starts working him over. Smothers ends up bumping off the apron and they set up a cool hope spot from Sandman that ends with Rich piledriving him for a nearfall. Guido follows up with a nice legdrop off the second rope for another nearfall. Spike gets the tag and goes straight into a string of big offensive moves all of which looked good. He hits Acid drops on Guido and Smothers and goes for a second Guido but Smothers pulls him down. Rich ends up crotching him on the guardrail ont he floor and Sandman runs over and beats on Rich for a few. You get the feeling at this point that Sandman's alcoholism is really hindering the match as he has sort of cut the balls off of two different heat segments at this point. Spike ends up eating a Rich fistdrop and then takes another nasty guardrail bump. Sandman gets the hot tag and comes in with the cane, but Jeff Jones jumps in to break up a pinfall. There is an attempted fast count but Tommy Rogers comes out in ref gear and breaks it up. Seriously botched double count finish. FBI were great in this, but Sandman was drugged and the confusion at the end killed it.

Jack Victory v. Mikey Whipwreck

The opening of this was messy but violent. I liked Mikey's reckless dive, the suplex through the table and then Victory just casually dropping a chair onto Mikey's face. Victory loaded up the right hand but Mikey ducked and hit his finish. Lance Wright jumped into the ring and Mikey hit the stunner on him too but that gave Victory time to make his comeback. Naturally New Jack's music hit right here to a huge pop from the crowd and a huge groan from me.

D-Von/Bubba Dudley v. Rob Van Dam/Sabu

This was okay I guess. RVD as FIP is wildly uninteresting though.
