C.W. Anderson v. Skull Von Krush

This was pretty hard hitting. Some nasty bumps into the barricades, stiff looking punches and a couple of sick looking DDT's. Not a great match, but they were trying hard at least.

Roadkill v. Simon Diamond

Decent match. Diamond looked better here than normal which is interesting because he was working face. Roadkill actually winning a match with hsi rope walk clothesline was shocking.

Little Guido v. Super Crazy

Guido targeting the arm early with two straight Fujiwara takedowns off of flashy Crazy offensive spots was cool. Guido gets face planted on the floor and then Crazy dives onto him and Sal. Crazy does his rolling surfboard and then jaws with Sal which resuls in him getting taken down with a Russian legsweep off the ropes. Sal ends up involved and Guido scores a nearfall with a diving elbow. Crazy ends up winning with the triple moonsault. Good but nothing special.

Lance Storm v. Jerry Lynn

This was actually pretty fun. Good explosive start from Lynn and I liked how they worked some of the counters in this especially Storm's blocking of the crucifix with the rolling drop. Was not a fan of the chair getting involved and did not care for the way they set up the finish but I would still say this was a "good" match.

D-Von/Bubba Dudley v. Chris Chetti/Nova

Holy fuck there was some nasty shit in this. D-Von throws a shoulder block at one point that looked horrifying and then Nova gets taken out with a powerbomb/neckbreaker combo that seriously looked life threatening. Chetti is left on his own so Balls comes out and takes a spot on the apron. Couple of really nice nearfalls for the babyfaces off the hot tag. Balls ends up getting powerbombed through a thumbtack covered table for a nearfall only for Chetti to take the 3D for the finish right after. Another good match that falls short of nomination.

Steve Corino v. Tommy Dreamer/Francine

The same bit they do every time.

El Mosco Del Merced v. Tajiri

Mosco bites on the handshake and gets kicked to shit but then they immediately go into a lights out sprint sequence with some awesome looking flippy shit and reversals from Merced. Mosco throws a nasty forearm in the crowd and then hits a huge moonsault off the railing. Tajiri reverses momentum with a rana for a nearfall and then leaps to his feet to kick Mosco's head off but Mosco counters a powerbomb attempt with a facebuster. Mosco with a twisting moonsault splash for a nearfall. Tajiri blocks a moonsault with the boots and hits a brainbuster for the finish. Awesome while it lasted but way too short.

Taz v. Tajiri

Taz dumps Tajiri on a northern lights and they brawl wildly into the crowd, tossing each other into chairs and just running around like crazy. Tajiri takes the best "run a dude into the wall" bump I've ever seen. Back in the ring and Tajiri actually hits a really sick looking rewind elbow and then a spinkick off the ropes. Cool spot as Tajiri lands on his feet after a German attempt and dropkicks Taz' knee. Tajiri gets killed with a back drop driver and does an awesome sell of it popping up and then collapsing in a heap mouth agape. Taz calls for the kicks and Tajiri delivers but he catches his leg and dumps him on his head. Tajiri counters with a lowblow and then a headkick for a nearfall. Taz wins with the Tazmission after Tajiri backflips right into it. I liked this a lot for what it was.

Sabu v. Justin Credible

This was not bad. Sabu's dive was sweet. There was a cool cut off of an attempted Jason table spot by Credible. Finish was solid. Better than expected.

Rob Van Dam v. Spike Dudley

Some of the counters in this were awesome. Loved RVD catching Spike on the rolling senton and dropping him on the steel. Spike hit an awesome tope dive knocking both over the guardrail that looked incredible. Cool counter with Spike missing a crossbody and RVD hitting a standing moonsault. I also liked the spot with RVD blocking a tornado DDT but taking a reverse neckbreaker on a chair. Cool twisting rana from Spike even though it didn't look totally clean. One of their better matches but not quite a nomination.
