Posted December 20, 201014 yr comment_5460712 Balls Mahoney v. Mike Bell There were some sweet punches in this. Balls took a huge bump over the ropes. Nice overhead slam. Balls almost having to steel a pin was absurd. Balls gets his chair and wins with a nasty shot from it. Fun. Christian York/Joey Matthews v. Da Baldies This was a good effort. Matthews made a good face in peril, the highspots were toned down but seemed more effective when they landed and I thought they did a good job structuring this. I was not in love with the finish, but I still enjoyed the match. Bilvis Wesley v. Nova Wesley celebrating a fireman's carry by giving the Elvis kneel down/I Love You symbol was great. Nova's fired up corner punch spot was good and I liked the teased dive freaking out Marquez and Wesley. I actually liked vicious Nova in general in this even if that act wasn't entirely believable. FBI v. Super Crazy/Tajiri Opening exchange with Crazy and Guido was fine but man this got awesome when Tajiri and Mamaluke came in as we got some brutal head kicks and sweet Mamaluke reversal armdrag and a huge payoff with Crazy hitting a vault dive over Tajiri onto the entire FBI. Tajiri with his hands on his hips and then kicking Guido's face, then mocking him after kicking him in the balls multiple times was so awesome. Then Tajiri kicks him in the ass which was even more awesome as a "fuck you" taunt. Tajiri ends up isolated and working FIP which is a totally different role for him. FBI do a good job working him over and he nails a sick head kick and rewind elbow to set up the hot tag. Crazy with a nice springboard dropkick and then does this weird standing twisting elbow to Guido that shouldn't have looked cool but did. Awesome double corner punch spot with Guido who broke free the first time. Tajiri is in absolute glee as Crazy sets up the tree of woe dropkick for him and he kills Guido. Mamaluke takes two insane looking powerbombs while Guido and and Tajiri brawl wildly on the floor but this allows Sal to come in and squash Crazy for the FBI win. This ruled. New Jack v. The Blue Boy This was strange to watch as skinny Blue Meanie in semi-dress garb working somewhat evenly in a brawl against New Jack is just bizarre. New Jack had to recover off a missed Meanie moonsault to win. Insane. Hot Commodity v. Sandman/Roadkill/Danny Doring Sandman has total control of the crowd early on. Sandman hitting a dropkick was a surprise and he easily dispatches Julio and Money so Hamrick comes in cocky as fuck which prompts Sandman to break out the crane fighting stance. Hamcrick ends up taking a face plant, high back body drop and backflip bump off of a clothesline in a span of about five seconds. Doring finally tags in and gets his head kicked off by Hamrick. Doring as FIP is not bad but man is the Hot Commodity double team offense indy as fuck. Roadkill gets the hot tag and runs through some of his spots but gets caught with a chair in the back coming off the ropes and then a diving bulldog from Hamrick. Roadkill ends up tagging out to Sandman who comes in and canes everyone to hell. Someone this ends up in an Elektra spanking spot. Hamrick takes the fall after taking everyones finish. Simon Diamond v. Kid Kash Kash runs through his big offense early including a dive onto Simon and Swinger. Story is that Simon keeps cutting off Kash with the help of Swinger's interference. Really liked the spot with Simon catching Kash off the ropes with a nice body slam. Decent match overall. C.W. Anderson v. Steve Corino C.W. attacked Corino before the bell, but Corino fires back with some of the sickest punches ever. Corino goes for a chairshot against the post but Anderson ducks and hits him with a nasty chairshot himself. Corino gets posted on his arm and immediately starts selling his ass off with Anderson targetting it. Really love Corino fighting back as a one armed man with chops and Anderson just dragging him down by his arm and locking in an armbar. Cool spot where Corino gets dropped on a comeback with a single arm DDT. Even better spot as Corino tries to make a comeback and gets knocked the fuck out with a punch. Anderson hits a shoulder breaker and his armbar slam which ruled. Corino ends up blocking a armbar slam on a chair and reversing it into a nut crushing atomic drop on a chair. Punch spot ends with Corino hitting a nice superkick and then a kick off the ropes for a nearfall. He calls for a table from Victory who slides one into the ring. Corino hits a suplex through the table and Swinger hits the ring blindsiding Victory and hitting Corino with the belt while Cyrus argues with the ref. C.W. hits a superkick, but Corino counters the momentum and hits the Old School Expulsion for the finish. This was good. Rhino/Justin Credible v. Scott Hall/Jerry Lynn Hall working the crowd with handclapping schtick was so fucking crazy to see. The Lynn/Rhino exchange was actually really fun and had a dynamic quality to it that I wasn't expecting. Hall dominating Credible and paintbrushing him was funny. Hall really seemed to be enjoying himself and they did a nice spot off the ropes with Justin getting caught in the fall away slam and Hall tagging Rhino with a right for his trouble. Hall grabs the mic and does his "Hey Yo" bit, then asks Francine to take her top off. At this point the disc starts fucking up pretty badly and then stops when Rhino and Hall lock up. Fuck.
