Posted December 20, 201014 yr comment_5460719 Opening of this with Spike knocking Storm to the floor, doing his knuckle lock roll through spot, hitting his corner punch/rana combo was good. He ends up loosing momentum on a corner charge where he hits the post. Storm hits a shoulder breaker as a follow up. Spike hits a cross body of the rope and a really nice clothesline for nearfalls but Storm cuts him off with a jawbreaker. Storm is not known for his strikes but the way Spike took his kneed was awesome. Spike reverses a gorilla press attempt into a sunset flip and tries to carry forward with the momentum but ends up with Storm rolling through for his single leg crab. Storm gets reversed to the floor, forearmed and then nailed with a really great tope from Spike. Spike goes to the top with a chair and hits a diving chair to Storm's back. Spike throws him back in the ring but gets caught with a dropkick to the face. Storm goes for something off the ropes but Spike drops down with a knee and ends up getting a nearfall. Spike with a sweet diving second rope rana spot. Dawn Marie gets in the ring to distract the ref and Spike kisses her. Spike turns around right into a superkick for a nearfall but Storm gets reversed into a crucifix by Spike for a nearfall. Storm wins on a roll up with a bridge as he holds the ropes. I thought this was a really excellent showing by both guys.
February 16, 201114 yr comment_5464688 Lance Storm vs. Spike Dudley (10/17/99) This was fine for what it was and one of the better Lance matches which with Spike as the opponent is understandable. Storm with his t-shirt tied at the waist looked ridiculous and sorta hard to take him seriously with it like that. Spike was great taking punishment and made Storm's offense look more credible than usual. The stretch run was pretty fair and I can back this as a low-end pick but nothing more.
May 27, 201114 yr comment_5471999 Lance Storm vs. Spike Dudley (10/17/99) - The focus of this match is Spike’s shoulder and Lance doing an admirable job of attacking the body part. After the initial shoulder work, it becaomse an exchange of big spots and my turn-your turn big finish kickouts. Fun match but I don’t think it will make the set.
