FBI v. Justin Credible/Jerry Lynn

This is presumably one of the first shows for Lynn and Credible who are teamed up for what may have been the only time ever. Lynn is wearing his old school tights and hits a crazy dive on Guido less than a minute in. Watching Credible work flashy babyface offense like flying forearms and crossbody's on Smothers is funny as fuck to me. Credible gets bumped to the floor and approached by Jason who whispers something in his ear. Lynn's FIP is good as the FBI work some good double teams, but you can tell pretty early on that the deal here is that Credible is going to turn on Lynn and leave him hanging out to dry. Really cool slingshot splash from Guido and an excellent hope spot here with Smothers turning his back to do his dancing taunt and Lynn hitting a sweet diving dropkick. Lynn finally gets a chance to make a hot tag after Smothers goes head first into the ropes but Credible flips him off and leaves. They do a cool sequence where Lynn desperately fires back with the offense he can muster, but Smothers ends up just diving onto him to slow him down and they hit the superkick/russian legsweep combo for the finish. For a storyline disguised as a match this was good.

Chris Candido v. Chris Chetti

Early on I was impressed with the little things like the torque Chetti put on a wristlock, the way Candido threw his deep rights, how tight Chetti's rana looked, the fact that they stuck to the arm and even how sharp Chetti's punches looked. This all built to Candido's over the ropes bump which was followed by a Chetti plancha and then Chetti getting reversed into the steel. Candido immediately goes straight to work on the back with some nice looking suplex variations. Chetti's selling and hope spots were really good here. Was really amazed to see him bust out a relatively sick looking powerbomb and the crowd goes bananas for him trying to follow it up with a flip splash which of course he airballs. Candido hits a horrifyingly nasty looking piledriver and then tries to go up but misses his headbutt. Chetti's comeback offense is solid and builds to a nice nearfall on a superplex. Francine shakes the ropes as Chetti goes back up and Candido hits a nutty looking butterfly suplex off the top for the finish. This was a damn good match and Chetti was on Candido's level if not better.

Raodkill v. Taz

Taz targets Roadkill's arm early and then shit gets weird as Roadkill gets an unusually long control segment on Taz including a lengthy period where he is on the canvas waiting for Roadkill to hit a splash for a nearfall. Roadkill takes a really scary bump on the German and then gets choked out.

Blue Meanie beats Jason while Lynn and Credible brawl

Balls Mahoney/Axl Rotten v. Bubba/D-Von Dudley

I will never tire of Balls/Bubba brawling spots as they never cease to punch each other really hard and do goofy shit. Here they punch each other really hard, fall down stairs, throw trash into the stands, take turns hitting each other with a pizza box, et. Bubba fucking DDT's Balls on the wooden bleechers which is the highlight. Axl and Balls are both bleeding gushers. Balls kills D-Von with the nutcraker suite and Axl follows up with his diving elbow but Bubba makes the save. Jeff Jones gets knocked out and the faces kill both of the Duds with chairshots but there is no ref. Sign Guy powders the faces eyes and Big Dick gets involved setting up a 3D on Balls. They go for the 3D on Axl but he fights back with some nice punches and eliminates both Duds only for Big Dick to come in from the blindside and chokeslam Axl. At this point Kronus and New Jack hit the ring effectively ending the match. I really liked this up until that point but with no finish at all I can't see it making the set.

Bam Bam Bigelow v. Spike Dudley

God damn Spike takes everything with such insane impact. Seriously the corner bump in here looks like it killed him and then he takes a suplex right after that is nearly as bad. Bammer goes to toss him into the crowd but Spike falls onto him for a nearfall. Spike comes back and hits a diving bulldog and then a dropkick that knocks Bam Bam over the top through a table. Spike goes for a plancha but Bam Bam catches him and drives him into the post. Bam Bam wins with a big splash off the top. This was good but too short to nominate. Still both guys were awesome while it lasted

Mikey Whipwreck v. Shane Douglas

Loved Shane's bump off the back body drop and selling on the floor bleeding right into him eating a plancha. then Mikey stomped his fingers and started working his arm which I liked as well. Shane reverses a hammerlock but gets dropped to the floor. He pauses to shit talk a fan and ends up turning right around into a baseball slide. Rope running spot and Shane comes down on his knee after a leapfrog selling it. Amazingly instead of it being a fake injury, Mikey starts targeting the leg. Mikey hits an Indian Deathlock that looks really cool and they actually do a Shane hope spot only for Shane to get chop blocked and locked into a figure-four. Shane tries to sit up and Mikey chops him down while in the figure-four which was awesome. Mikey finally gets cut off with a desperation hot shot. Shane hits his delayed vertical here but I liked it a lot as he pulled up early and sold the leg pretty hard afterword. Shane with his reverse neck snap which looked sick. Mikey just gets drilled on a release gutwrench suplex and Shane locks in a camel clutch. Mikey really starts selling his back at this point and Shane hits a belly to back. Shane gets down on his knees and locks on a weird neckbreaker hold. Shane goes up top but Mikey catches him and hits a superplex for a nearfall, then a standing rana for another. Mikey gets whipped into the ropes but comes back with a flying forearm of all things for another nearfall. Shane takes a superkick and crawls through the ropes to the floor. Mikey suplexs Shane in and Francine tries to grab his leg but Mikey kicks her on her ass. Mikey hits a sweet diving dropkick for a great nearfall. Almost too good actually as the fans are pissed off when Douglas kicks out and of course Shane pulls the win with a belly to belly out of the corner seconds later. This was a pretty great match. Actually with Shane's selling being consistent and the leg injury actually playing some role in Mikey's ability to make a comeback.

Sandman/Tommy Dreamer v. Rob Van Dam/Sabu

Sabu and RVd have the WWF banner. They jump the faces but the faces make a quick comeback. Tommy hits an "air Sabu" onto Sabu which was funny. Dreamer hits a really good looking Cactus clothesline on Sabu. This is going okay and then Dreamer takes two consecutive contrived as fuck bumps off of bad looking Sabu spots though the follow up dive looked great. Table spot looked good too. Dreamer looks like he is in a position to win when RVD reemerges and cuts off his nearfalls. Sabu with the triple jump for the finish. I liked big parts of this, but this was a match that never quite delivered on the storyline they were trying to work.
