Posted December 22, 201014 yr comment_5460853 Early on I was impressed with the little things like the torque Chetti put on a wristlock, the way Candido threw his deep rights, how tight Chetti's rana looked, the fact that they stuck to the arm and even how sharp Chetti's punches looked. This all built to Candido's over the ropes bump which was followed by a Chetti plancha and then Chetti getting reversed into the steel. Candido immediately goes straight to work on the back with some nice looking suplex variations. Chetti's selling and hope spots were really good here. Was really amazed to see him bust out a relatively sick looking powerbomb and the crowd goes bananas for him trying to follow it up with a flip splash which of course he airballs. Candido hits a horrifyingly nasty looking piledriver and then tries to go up but misses his headbutt. Chetti's comeback offense is solid and builds to a nice nearfall on a superplex. Francine shakes the ropes as Chetti goes back up and Candido hits a nutty looking butterfly suplex off the top for the finish. This was a damn good match and Chetti was on Candido's level if not better.
February 6, 201114 yr comment_5464019 "No Gimmicks Needed" Chris Candido vs. Chris Chetti (9/19/97) Good back and forth action to start the match with the crowd of course shitting on it chanting boring. The action would pick up on the floor where Chetti hit a big plancha on Candido before he was thrown into the railing and kicked in the balls by Francine. Candido really worked over Chetti who had some hope spots but would meet a quick demise. Candido's piledriver was really good before missing a diving headbutt giving Chetti the chance he needed to mount a comeback. Chetti fires up and takes it to Candido before Francine interferes costing him the match eventually. This was a pretty good match and I'll back it as a low-end nomination.

Chris Chetti Solid Nomination - ECW FanCam 9/19/97 - This is going to sound weird but I liked Chetti’s early shine segment but started to lose interest during Candido’s heat segment. Nice stretch run with Candido winning with the over the top belly to belly. I enjoyed the match but it didn’t feel unique. Just a good solid ten minute match. I may have pushed this through earlier but this is cutting time and these type of matches suffer as a result.
