Posted December 23, 201014 yr comment_5460937 Stephen Petitpas/Great Malumba v. Tiger Williams/Rocky Delasara Petitpas is interesting yet again. He starts out in control here and even though he's clearly the biggest guy in the match he gets transferred into the FIP role. He really did a good job in that role and I was pleased to see how they worked some of the spots including a nice sunset flip nearfall and a really good looking ab stretch off a rope running spot. Petitpas hits a springing forward role for the hot tag. This was not set material, but it was an interesting one to watch because of Petitpas William Trembley v. Super Destroyer Nothing to see here. Buddy Lane/Rick Patterson v. Ron Starr/Bobby Bass I love that the managers fucking name is "No Class, Bobby Bass." This annoyed me as the heels did some decent enough work on Patterson but then they just went straight to an uneventful hot tag and then a series of botches and then a finish. Fuck. Sweet Daddy Siki v. Ronnie Rich There were some cool cut off's early as Rich stomped on Siki's head on an attempted leapfrog, and then on another rope running spot Siki cut off Rich with a body slam which was neater than it sounds. They brawl outside and there is a really nice punch/chop exchange that is in tight with the camera. Siki reaches blind and grabs a pair of knucks from Len Montana and punches Rich in the guts. Brief control segment and then another great punch exchange with Rich throwing shots to the head and Siki throwing shots to the stomach. Rich gets tripped coming off the ropes by Montana who ends up coming into the ring. Petitpas makes the save. This would have been a borderline nomination with a solid finish. Abdullah The Butcher v. Sheik Ali This is a Lutte International match. Abby is awesome as he just runs out and starts beating the shit out of Eddie Creechman who is walking with a fucking cane. Ali is Petitpas. Really like the way Ali solid the Abby thrusts. Ali comes back and is punching Abby with a foreign object. Abby comes back and man I really love the way Ali is selling for him. Abby loads it up and hits his running elbow for the finish. Too short to rate really but i liked it. Abdullah The Butcher v. Sheik Ali They stab each other than Abby wins with the elbow. Post-match is fun.
