Early on Burke has Frenchy fleeing the ring and then controls him with a headlock. Cool drop down spot with Leo dead stopping and dropping a knee on Frenchy's head. Frenchy backs Leo into a corner and takes over with some cheapshots. Nice elbow drop for a nearfall from Frenchy. Frenchy with a throat jab behind the refs back. Leo fights back and has Frenchy reeling but Frenchy counters a top rope move with a big slam off the top. He hotshots Burke on the top rope and drapes his knee over his throat. Frenchy locks on an ab stretch but Burke reverses with a hip toss and knees Martin, then rakes his boots over his face. Burke hits a suplex for a nearfall but misses a follow up diving headbutt. Burke gets knocked to the floor and Frenchy tries to keep him at bay but Burke fights his way back into the ring with punches. Finish is hilarious as Burke accidentally tackles a ref, Martin goes to his tights and hits him with a foreign object. Then Martin rolls Burke on top of himself for a Burke nearfall and then rolls Burke up for the finish. Pre-match the crowd was amped for this and it really did succeed in feeling like a special event. Minimalistic match, but I liked it, and it seems like something that Canadaphiles would want to see.
