Posted January 2, 201114 yr comment_5461370 Women's Tag Match I am no expert on Women's wrestling from this period and I'm not sure who any of these women are but this was well structured and actually a pretty fun match. JIP and short, but I thought the action was good and the finish was fun. Crusher v. Sheik Adnan Al-Kaissie Crusher is wrestling wearing a suit. Adnan rips the suit and Crusher gets pissed. I've got to say that Crusher's short punches to Adnan looked pretty awesome here. Crusher goes to wip Adnan into the ropes and Adnan rips even more of his suit which fires him up even more. Short match with a lame finish. Blackjacks v. Abbdullah The Butcher/Jerry Blackwell JIP though I doubt much was lost as it picks up with Abby stabbing Mulligan on the floor and Mulligan bleeding everywhere. This started off with a weak pretense of structure and then just devolved into a wild brawl which to be fair is what you really want out of of these teams anyhow. Blackwell/Lanza punch exchange on the floor was really awesome. Match ends up getting thrown out, but this was fun. Jumbo Tsuruta v. Rick Martel JIP. Starts off with Jumbo in control and working the arm of Martel. Martel is really great working underneath here, missing a corner charge hopespot, trying to fight back and eventually succeeding and reversing into a headlock. Really cool spot with Jumbo reversing into an overhead wristlock but Martel working it back down into a headlock. Jumbo tries to fight out with a shincrusher, but Martel just drops to the ground and holds on to the headlock while working out the kink in his leg. Jumbo finally shoots Martel off the ropes and cleans his clock with a jumping knee and then a serious of tight Euro uppercuts. Jumbo with a delayed piledriver for a nearfall. Jumbo shoots Martel in and locks on an ab stretch. Martel uses the hair of all things to reverse the hold to a massive pop and then Jumbo crab walks to the ropes to break the hold. Martel hits a backbreaker and goes for his slingshot splash but eats the knees instead. Jumbo hits a suplex for a nearfall. They end up going to a mid-ring double knock down spot and then Jumbo dropkicks Martel into the ref and hits a back drop driver for a somewhat botched nearfall. Jumbo goes for a Thesz Press but gets hotshotted instead and Martel hits a cross body off the ropes for a finish. I think this is about half of a 22 minute match and it is the Martel title win. No clue if this exists in longer form anywhere else, but what is shown here is really great aside from the one screwy spot with the ref coming over late on a nearfall attempt. Medley of news clips on various St. Paul shows. A lot of these would make for good Extras. The Battle Royal highlights video to Michael Jackson's Beat It in particular. King Kong Brody v. Steve O Brody steamrolls Steve O. Pretty sure I've already seen this. Battle Royal From the look of things this is just a different camera angle of the Battle Royal with Blackwell getting jumped and bloodied by Adnan/Brody/Abby at the end.

It is the same battleroyal, just a different camera angle. This version as I remember is complete, without anything missing on the front end, if that makes a difference.
January 4, 201213 yr comment_5491633 Da Crusher vs. Sheik Adnan Kaissey (5/13/84) Crusher working this in a suit is hilarious and yes he throws some great punches here. Crusher having Roll Out The Barrel as his exit music was great. Abdullah the Butcher & Crusher Blackwell vs. The Blackjacks (Lanza & Mulilgan) (5/13/84) JIP and this is a wild brawl. Next we get clips of the Martel/Jumbo title change which we have on commercial but this is a different camera view from ringside so it's a cool watch. Bruiser Brody vs. Steve O (6/10/84) Squash. Then we get clips of a battle royal won by Crusher Blackwell.
