"Nature Boy" Buddy Landell vs. Angel Diaz (April 1983) Squash.

Enrique vera vs. Iranian Assassin (April 1983) Not much here.

El Gran Apollo vs. Barrabas (April 1983) Apollo wanted to fist fight Barrabas but wouldn't stop shoving the referee around so Barrabas was given the victory. Weird finish.

Keith Larsen vs. John Bonello (April 1983) Larsen wins in a competitive match. Terry Gibbs vs. Chicky Starr (April 1983)

Lots of armwork by Gibbs here before he puts him away with a neckbreaker. We start with clips from a Colon/Sheik match from one of the stadiums which had some great heat.

King Tonga vs. Pedro Valdez (April 1983) Squash. Ox Baker vs. Keith Larsen (April 1983) Squash.

We have now advanced to 1986 and a totally different WWC.

Sasha vs. Vivian St. John's (August 1986) Fine for what it was.

Super Medico (Jose Estrada) vs. White Knight (Pat Rose) (August 1986)

Clips from a match of their's from a stadium.

NWA World Heavyweight Title: "Nature Boy" Ric Flair vs. "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes (August 1986) For some reason I can't find a specific date for this but I'm pretty sure it took place after the Bash tour. Fun match with them working their normal spots with the crowd slowly getting into it but when Dusty was in the figure-four they were into his comeback. It took a while but after some bionic elbows, Flair got the juice which they had to have in Puerto Rico and I loved Hugo yelling FOULE when Dusty kicked Flair in the balls. Dusty would lock on the figure-four but Flair would get the ropes so both men would brawl with each other and the referee would get hit in the crossfire and he called for the bell. Easily the best match I've seen in WWC so far and this is a nomination by proxy. Sure enough it would be a Flair/Dusty match to get a nomination.

Next we have Chicky Starr Sport Shop with The Invader as his guest which was interesting since they hate each other.

The Invader vs. Chicky Starr (August 1986) This starts with Invader on the floor bleeding after an attack with Chicky working over the cut viciously. The fans were molten here for a potential Invader comeback and Chicky being a good rudo to rile them up as they just pelt the ring with trash as the match is going on. Chicky is like the Puerto Rican Jimmy Golden in not just hair but the way he worked and carried himself in general. Fans were going apeshit for Invader when he eventually made his comeback then Starr would escape the ring with a police escort to win by countout. Shitty finish but the heat here was intense. I'm going to throw this on the block as a low-end nomination.

The Colon/Sheik clip could be an extra.

Ah, 1986. Now we're a bit more in my comfort zone.

Sasha vs. Vivian St. John is an offshoot of her leaving Eric Embry.

I don't think that the match clip is Super Medico vs. White Knight. Is it this one?

If it's that clip, it's actually a mask vs. mask match between Super Medico and the Original Medic (Dusty Wolfe). I think this is from August 3, 1986. The Original Medic tried to put an object in his mask, but he was jumped by Super Medico before he could use it. The referee is taken out and the White Knight rushes in and switches places with the Original Medic. He ends up using the loaded mask to beat Super Medico. The ensuing controversy resulted in the commissioner negating the pinfall loss due to the illegal switch, declaring Super Medico as the winner by DQ. Thus, Original Medic had to unmask and Super Medico would challenge the White Knight for Aniversario 86. Storyline wise (explained by Hugo in the video voice over), Super Medico told him that White Knight was an old tag partner from the U.S, they had an acrimonious split and he was down here looking for revenge on him. Super Medico wants to fight him, and will not accept any other matches until he faces the White Knight. He was going to take a month off to train for that match (in reality, Super Medico was going off to a Japan tour and the training story was to explain his absence).

Flair vs. Dusty is from the 1985 year end stadium show.

Invader vs. Chicky is one of the defining WWC feuds.

I will watch any Budro squash because they are all good and entertaining at minimum. No way this was a nomination, but watching Buddy deck this guy in a rage after giving up a hiptoss was as good an individual moment as I've seen in wrestling this month. Such a fun guy to watch, it's a shame we don't have some of his big stadium matches in complete form.

Enrique vera vs. Iranian Assassin

Decent match. I liked some of Vera's armwork, though it didn't really go anywhere. Finish was ridiculous.

El Gran Apollo vs. Barrabas

Man Barrabas goes for this awesome diving leg trip early and Apollo blocked it and then I got pissed off again that we don't have more of this guy. Fisticuffs stuff started and I got excited and then this stupidly ended. Dumb.

Keith Larsen vs. John Bonello

I guess Bonello is a heel now. Anyway this was okay. Larsen almost killed himself not knowing how to take a side slam at one point so that's something I guess.

Terry Gibbs vs. Chicky Starr

This was nothing. Still hard to grasp Starr working babyface, though he's not awful at it.

The Colon/Sheik stuff would make a pretty cool extra as you have double fire from Colon. Extra

Next up we have a more complete version of the Landell/Apollo weightlifting angle. Definite Extra

Sasha vs. Vivian St. John's

This had pretty incredible heat for a woman's match which made it more interesting to watch than I would have thought, but really it wasn't much.

Super Medico (Jose Estrada) vs. White Knight (Pat Rose) (August 1986)

This is indeed the clip Boricua referred to. Not sure if it's worth an extra though.

Chicky Starr's flower shop with Invader was fun and I could see adding it to the front end of the match that followed.

The last two matches on this I have seen and agreed with the nominations of.
