Posted January 21, 201114 yr comment_5462622 JIP with Bock trapped in a leglock. Pretty sweet takedown from O'Conner who looks fired up to be working. Damn O'Conner is hitting multiple really sick takedowns and his toehold looks sick as fuck. Bock has enough and rakes his eyes, but O'Conner comes back with a downward right and then a nasty looking uppercut to Bock's throat before hitting a backslide for a nearfall. O'Conner takes a crazy looking bump off of a hip toss, but then locks in an ab stretch off the ropes which he immediately sweeps into another backslide for a nearfall before locking a hammerlock back on! Holy shit O'Conner is fun to watch in this. Bock stands him up and backs into a corner and slips an elbow into O'Conner's guts. O'Conner is actually really good here selling the impact of the turnbuckle shots before coming back with some super stiff looking punches to Bock's face, throat and stomach. He is throwing neat controlled combo's to the mid-section that look great an dthen locks on a sleeper before Bock just collapses deseprately into the corner to break the hold. O'Conner rolls through off of a shoulder tackle and goes for a backward roll, but Bock rolls through a takes the fall. I'm not sure how much we missed on the front end, but this was fun as all hell and makes me want to watch lots of Pat O'Conner.
April 16, 201213 yr comment_5500263 Nick Bockwinkel vs. Pat O'Connor (3/22/81) This is JIP and it's wild seeing O'Connor working outside St. Louis and he loved it as well as he was firing up like crazy for the fans. O'Connor was past his prime here but he was really fun here working as the veteran wrestling specialist really taking it to Bock forcing him to resort to raking his eyes to get the upperhand but only for a short while as O'Connor keeps coming back. Bock would get rougher though bashing his head into the corner but again O'Connor comes back firing some big punches of his own before locking on a sleeper which got the crowd going but Bock would run him into the corner to release the hold. O'Connor would of course hit the O'CONNOR ROLL but Bock would cut it back and rolled through using the tights to steal the win. I think we missed a fairly big chunk of this one but what was shown was really good and would be a fairly easy pick but I'm just not sure about how much we missed.
