Posted January 24, 201114 yr comment_5462836 JIP. Bock is reeling early. Curt is really working a headlock. They go to a double knockdown spot with Curt taking a huge and wild bump. Curt hits a kick to the gut and a small package for a nearfall. Bock locks on an ab stretch and starts throwing throat punches. Bock ends up locking on a figure-four head scissors after a run of middling nearfalls. Pretty good work from Curt under neath to build the tension and I like how he broke out and immediately went to work on Bock's leg. He goes for a figure-four but Bock rolls him forward to escape though it doesn't slow Curt's overall momentum. Curt hits a wild face plant headbutt to Bock's guts and locks on an Indian Deathlock. Fun stuff as Curt is throwing punches and headbutts to Bock while keeping him in the hold and Bock has to roll over into the ropes to break the hold. Really loved the Hennig nearfall on the sunset flip. They spill outside and Bock takes a bump into the stairs and is selling the beating nicely. Fun wild forearm off the ropes from Hennig and he follows up with a nice dropkick and piledriver for a nearfall. Bock gets the ten count turnbuckle shots a few times but Bock locks in a desperation sleeper off the ropes. Hennig goes over the top rope to escape, but Hennig pulls Bock over the top and gets DQ'ed. This was good. It was an ESPN match so I assume it is in full somewhere though not much is missing here I don't think. Still, this was probably the worst of their matches.

May 7, 201213 yr comment_5501953 So, whatever thread this needed to be merged with is missing. That means I merged that thread with another thread which means this was nominated three times. Help me figure it all out.
May 23, 201213 yr Author comment_5503434 So far as I can tell this doesn't match up with any other Curt/Bock match currently in Love and their aren't any in doubt. Not sure what the deal is here
May 26, 201213 yr Author comment_5504077 These are KrisZ's comments pulled from the other thread... AWA World Heavyweight Title: Nick Bockwinkel © vs. Curt Hennig (3/7/87) This is the big Vegas rematch of their 60:00 draw from over 3 months earlier. Both men start out more aggressive here especially Bock because he knows that Curt can take him the distance or even beat him. Hennig is on point here really taking it to Bock trying to put him away early while Bock is the veteran champ who lets Hennig tire himself by throwing out offense so he can take control once he is tired. Bock really works a headscissors until Hennig breaks free and immediately works over Bock's left leg setting up a modified Indian Death Lock which was one of Bock's pet holds. Bock would break free though and threw Hennig to the floor where he would pound on him and now this is beginning to turn into a war of atrition with both men teeing off on each other. Bock locks on a sleeper and Curt uses his momentum to take both men over the top rope for the DQ finish as he gave the match to Bock because Curt intentionally brought him over. Curt is highly angry at this and the story is being told that for whatever reason he just can't beat Bock the right way. Curt attacks Bock after the match and walks around with the belt before throwing it on Bock. Crappy finish but the story is being told for the future and the match was awesome. Easy nomination. My preference is to move this to love too as with the possible exception of Rose/Somers this was the best series in the history of the promotion (from this time period anyway. I think this goes on and we kill off the other "low end" nom from the feud in this forum. I know Kris liked it more than me but I think he would probably agree that it is the worst of the feud by a comfortable margin
