Posted June 1, 200520 yr comment_2351809 I took a 90 mile trip up to Binghamton to watch the AA Mets play the Akron Aeros (Cleveland's AA affliliate). Here's a few reviews of the ballpark to view... http://www.ballparkreviews.com/bing/bing.htm http://www.small-parks.com/NYSEG.htm The game itself started at 10:30 in the morning, making it perfect for a day trip. This was the first time I ever got an old-time feel of a ballpark similar of what you might have gotten at the Polo Grounds. Outside, you walk down a basic city street. Then you step inside, and the city seems a world away. Not much to say about the players, except that the Mets' Brian Bannester (the starting pitcher) seems a fine prospect. The Indians best prospect, Mike Aubrey, did not appear. For what it's worth, I am now sporting a fine sunburn on my arms. I did pick up an Eastern League media guide for $6 as well.
