Heavenly Bodies v. Fantastics

JIP. Seems to pick up basically from where the show cut off the previous week. Lane is wearing the headgear from his "busted eardrum." Fantastics control early, but Jackie's injured leg gets targetted and the Bodies cut off the ring on him working it over. They do some good teased hot tags and pretty much all the staples you would want, though it doesn't really have much flash or sizzle. I was willing consider this on the low end when they go to a screwjob DQ finish, blowing off the story of the match in the process. Having said that...

The post-match brawl is pretty great. We have at least part of it on another commercial tape, but it was a lot of fun.

Bob Armstrong has the Bodies/Tastics in the ring and announces the terms of their big match and that he will be the special ref EXTRA

Highlights of the previous weeks main event

Brian Lee promo. DWB comes out after Lee announces the match will be title v. career.

Down and Dirty with Dutch interview segment with Jimmy Golden. Robert Gibson runs out once Golden starts shit talking and we have an impromptu match.

Jimmy Golden v. Robert Gibson

The match was okay for what it is but this has to be an extra because this is the introduction of Robert Fuller to SMW with Fuller hitting the ring and destroying Gibson with his cowboy boots and belt. EXTRA

Tim Horner v. Gary Scott

Pretty good offensive showcase for Horner.

Tim Horner interview challenging Landell to an I Quit Match.

Dixie Dynomite promo

Killer Kyle v. Dixie Dynomite

Hilarious gimmick as this Dynomite's mask v. the contents of Killer Kyle's violin case. Actually this was a pretty good speed v. power match. Kyle's implied rape/pump handle slam was a nice move and a nice way to build to the body press hope spot from Dixie later. Dixie landing on his feet after getting pitched to the floor was well done and the finish coming off of that was not bad. I can't really nominate this in good conscience, but this was a perfectly suitable tv main event. Dixie opens up the violin case and there is a roll of tape. Kyle tapes Dixie to the top rope then tapes up his fist and beats on him until reinforcements hit the ring.

Fantastics v. George Scott/Joe Cazana

Lots of fun double teams from the Fultons.

Clips of Fuller/Golden attacking Gibson from previous week

Robert Gibson promo. He introduces a pre-tape of Ricky Morton shooting a promo from his backyard talking about the mistakes he has made and why he is coming back to be Robert's back up. They come back to Golden/Fuller with Caudle. Golden points out that Ricky had turned on Robert and he was an interloper from another organization. Bob Armstrong comes out and authorizes Morton coming in as Gibson's partner. EXTRA

Brian Lee/Ron Garvin v. Paul Orndorff/Dirty White Boy

JIP. Basically just the finish shown.

Brian Lee v. The Trooper

Holy fuck the trooper is a guy in a mask who is waring a shirt with a fucking swastika on the front and back. Total squash.

Down and Dirty with Dutch interview segment. Dutch is on site at the Dirty White Boy's junkyard. Anthony comes out of an old school bus, poors water out of a jugg onto his head, then spits water at Dutch's dog. Dutch lays out that his match v. Lee is Loser Leaves Town and Anthony is hilarious talking about how he is not going to "leave all this."

Tim Horner v. Paul Lee

Man Lee is just blatantly ripping off Flair on a level unlike anything I've ever seen. Fairly entertaining for a squash.

Heavenly Bodies v. Hector Guerrero/Ben Jordan

Fun offensive run by Jordan and Hector with the Bodies reacting by pouting and bailing to the floor. Hector goes on another run of headscissors but gets snapped on the top rope by Lane as he comes off of one. Hector actually got a hot tag but the Bodies finished off Jordan. Post-match they hog tie Jordan with barbed wire as a teaser for the barbed wire cage match with the Fantastics.
