He threatens to piledrive Caudle at the end. Finish of the Fantastics/Bodies match from the previous week. Fantastics promo. Fantastics announce a rematch with the Bullet handcuffed to Cornette. Heavenly Bodies/Cornette promo. Pretty great promo. Lane still putting over the busted ear drum bit is great. Cornette announces that next week the RnR's will get their "one" shot at the belts. Jim Cornette promo/Studd Stable promo (local) Tim Horner v. Joe Cazana This was a pretty good back and fourth jobber match with Ron Wright being hilarious on commentary. Post-match Horner/DWB/Ron Wright argue about whether or not Horner's name is in the hat for the random title shot drawing. Down and Dirty with Dutch interview segment with Bob Armstrong/Brian Lee trying to get to the bottom of the bounty on Lee's head. EXTRA Dirty White Boy/Ron Wright have a name drawing out of the hat to determine who Anthony will defend the belt against. Newton Steffy's name is pulled and Wright says he is one of the top men in the World much less on Smoky Mountain. Dirty White Boy v. Newton Steffy Total squash. Post-match Horner comes out and confronts DWB in the ring. Dixie Dynomite/Danny Davis v. Studd Stable Robert Fuller comes to the ring carrying a stretcher! Fuller in a rope running spot with Dixie Dynomite was hilarious for some reason, but even better was Fuller's strut. Fuller gets slammed and Dyno does a strut that is five thousand times more ridiculous. Fuller claims his tights were pulled and demonstrates on Mark Curtis. Golden and Davis go into a criss cross and Golden gets taken down with a drop toehold and locked in a pretty tight looking surfboard variation. Awesome spot with Golden reversing over, struggling through by pushing Davis into the ropes, then hitting a monkey flip only to miss an elbow. Davis takes him back down again and they go to another criss cross with Fuller blindsiding Davis in the back with a knee. FIP was really short but it's probably just as well. Dynomite airballs on a reverse cross body and Golden hurls him over the top to the floor. Ricky and Robert come out and help the faces win. I liked the match but this felt more like an EXTRA. Tim Horner/Rock N Roll Express local promo Studd Stable promo. Golden is holding up the stretcher. Studd Stable v. Ben Jordan/Rick Newsome Fun squash. Man Fuller's offense looks fucking awesome. Studd STable promo. They've got the stretcher again and are ranting about the RnRs. Clips from a house show with Garvin tied by his towel to the top ring rope while Orndroff beats the shit out of him. Cool angle. EXTRA Ron Garvin promo Paul Orndorff promo Studd Stable/Cornette local promos Tim Horner promo Tim Horner v. Dirty White Boy Horner does his trademark chain wrestling, to floatover arm drag spot. Anthony really takes a great Japanese arm drag. Anthony flees to the floor after a dropkick and Ron Wright massages his face! Horner does the roll back flip off the back body drop attempt and goes to a side headlock. DWB thinks he avoids a corner charge and ends up taking a face planting bump off of Horner's trademark right jab. Horner gets caught coming in and takes a nice face planting bump of his own getting good height in the process. Anthony goes to cocky heel tactics dropping dismissive knee drops and just standing on Horner's guts like a total piece of shit. Nice bulldog from DWB. Really sweet finish as Horner goes for a backslide but Anthony pulls him over and Horner immediately locks in a small package for the pin. Curtis was a little late on the cover and I wish this had gone about five minutes longer, but for a seven minute tv match this was pretty great. Ron Wright falling out of his wheelchair in shock was the icing on the cake. Down and Dirty with Dutch interview segment with Jim Cornette/Killer Kyle. Typically great Cornette promo covering everything from the RnR's to the bounty on Brian Lee. Bob Armstrong promo. He announces that extra security has been brought to the arena to keep the stalker of Brian Lee out. Brian Lee v. Mike Sampson Guess who comes from under the ring? That's right, it's The Stalker! This went on too long but would have been effective otherwise. Rock N Roll Express v. Heavenly Bodies Lane's karate stuff did not look super impactful but still worked out fine and was a good set up for the Gibson enziguri. The Lane headgear gimmick really does add an extra dimension to these Bodies matches as every time he gets whacked in the head it feels like a big moment and the crowd reacts in kind. Typically great rope running spot with Pritchard/Morton ending in an arm drag flurry that clears the ring despite Lane being a bit of out of position in the early going. Gibson hitting an armdrag and waving at Lane, leading to the RnR's working the heel schtick behind the refs back was great. They go to work on Pritchard's arm and Gibson literally swings him around by it like he's a child. Morton gets kneed to the floor off a rope running exchange and takes the old racket shot from Corny. Heels work a fun, but short control segment on Morton, who hits a desperation double sunset flip which he wisely used as a way to get the hot tag. Killer Kyle trips Gibson coming off the ropes and Bodies get a near fall off of it that I thought for sure was going to be the BS finish. Curtis tosses Curtis out of the ringside area. Gibson his a shitty body press. Nice blindside double dropkick from the RnR's, but all hell breaks loose with the Studd STable pulling the top rope and Gibson taking a huge bump right after Corny took a huge bump himself. Gibson gets pinned a few seconds later. This was pretty awesome despite it's flaws. Tim Horner/RnR Express (local) promo Bob Armstrong promo. He says he's giving the RnR's another shot. Corny comes out livid and Bullet tells Corny "tough." He also puts over the upcoming Fantastics matches. Good way to promote the local shows for damn sure.
