Tracy Smothers pre-tape promo from his house. Awesome stuff as he shits on the WCW suits for wanting the Southern Boys to de-redneck. Talks about the Young Pistols repackaging and shits all over. Talks about being sent up North with "fast paced" folks that they didn't really like. He ends up doing a promo almost as a voiceover of himself fishing. He says the Bullet called him and warned him about the way things were going. Awesome intro for Smothers and one of the most straight forward, clean cut babyface promos I can recall.

Down and Dirty with Dutch interview segment with Bob Armstrong The Nightstalker and Malachi. This is pretty amusing as Armstrong reading this hilarious attempt at Lovecraft style prose is silly even by pro wrestling standards. Brian Lee shows up and unveils a tombstone that the Nighstalker had brought to ringside before he left.

 

Ricky Morton is at the annouce station asking Bob Armstrong to postpone the match til next week. Cornette shows up and says that he is holding him to the contract or they won't get a shot and Bob regrettfully agrees with Corny.

 

Clips of Orndorff destroying Davis from the previous week.

 

Ron Garvin/Dixie Dynomite promo. Dynomite will be defending the honor of Davis from the previous week.

 

Paul Orndorff v. Dixie Dynomite

 

Orndorff says he is going to destroy all of Garvin's friends until he gets his robe back. Dyno start off hot with dropkicks but Paul has enough of that quickly and knocks him out with a belly to back. Crowd is super hot chanting Paula as Orndorff levels Dixie with shots. Dixie gets some decent flashpin attempts in to get the crowd up and cut off momentum. Garvin shows up with the robe on and distracts Orndorff as he is about to use the piledriver. Paul chases him and gets counted out. Kind of a silly finish but a pretty fun match overall.

 

DWB/Jim Cornette promo (local). Good stuff actually.

 

Ricky Morton promo saying Robert hasn't shown up still. Cornette shows up and shits all over Ricky suggesting that Robert no showed because of the way the Ricky had acted during the York Foundation angle. Corny shit talks his dad so Morton slaps Corny and agrees to fight one on two.

 

Heavenly Bodies v.

 

Morton just beats the shit out of the Bodies early and has them flying around as the crowd goes nuts for his every move. Morton is doing a lot of his staple spot, including the drop down monkey flip the backfist, et. Cool heel take over as Morton stops the initial heel double team but gets blindsided by Lane on the back end. He falls to the floor and gets posted by Pritchard which busts him open. Back in the ring and they do a really good teased comeback and great nearfall off of a powerslam by Dr. Tom. Heels hit the rocket launcher but they pull Ricky up before the three count. They continue to beat on Ricky but Robert hits the ring and starts beating up the Bodies and Corny. Bodies take back over and Kyle hits the ring as the heels destroy the RnRs. All the stuff with Ricky was great but the finish kind of ruins this as a match because Gibson running in gets a DQ for the babyfaces even though this was supposed to be their title shot? As an overall deal though this would be a very good EXTRA.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Tracy Smothers v. Paul Lee

 

Hey the opening chain wrestling spot was pretty fun. Tracy gets up high for a dropkick but it doesn't look like it connects at all. He does hit a nice flying forearm though and the jawjacker for the finish. Fun enough squash.

YES Ron Wright is on commentary talking about how DWB has him off the cheap generic medicine. Horner wins with the bridge and chases after DWB and Wright after the fact.

Brian Lee v. Nighstalker

 

This was actually not bad. Some good athletic spots from both guy sin between some pretty rough spots. Superplex looked pretty sick and Lee took a great bump off of a clothesline.

Paul Orndorff promo. Wild promo threatening to cripple Danny Davis and demanding his robe back from Garvin.

 

Killer Kyle v. Ron Garvin

 

Garvin uses Orndorff's robe like a matador in the opening. Garvin hits his big punch and Kyle sells it but doesn't go down. It was simple work but I liked the work out of the top wristlock. Orndorff ends up running out and they double team Garvin. Ridiculously Dixie Dynomite runs out and grabs Orndorff's robe and runs to the back rather than saving his friend. This was pretty absurd stuff.

Fantastics promo putting over their match against each other that was voted on by the fans. The Studd Stable shows up and denigrates them. They face off as the show goes off the air.
