Posted February 13, 201114 yr comment_5464396 Very good match, especially the first two caidas. Primera caida has an awesome Panther v. Ramirez grappling section, which is what you want to see Blue Panther do, and then they follow it up with a Gladiador v. Shadow section which is almost as good. Shadow was the really star here, he had an awesome P.S. Hayes style sneaky right hand, that he timed perfectly, and took by far the biggest bump of the match. Third fall was a little disjointed, and the match didn't build to a crazy awesome finish, it just kind of ended. Still there was plenty of great stuff before that to justify a disc placement. May 10, 201213 yr comment_5502211 This was looking like an easy nomination to me, but the last fall really took the steam out of it. I have seen the "ref grabs the face's arm when he tries to punch the heel" bit done well and I have seen it done shitty. This was a shitty one, and the finish fell flat. There's too much stuff I'd recommend over it for me to co-sign.
July 23, 201213 yr comment_5510895 Blue Panther/Fuerza Guerrera/Hijo del Gladiador vs. Black Shadow Jr./Blue Demon Jr./Huracan Ramirez (10/13/89) Interesting to see Shadow here. BP & Ramirez tore it up to start the match which is followed up by Shadow & Gladiador and damn if they don't tear it up as well. Shadow was skinny and short but he could throw a fucking jab. Demon & Fuerza come in and they have an athletic exchange with Fuerza looking really good which gets the match away from the matwork and into a traditional lucha style. Shadow was so fluid here and even BP knew it as he raised his hand in victory after he was pinned by him in the 1st fall. Rudos took over in the 2nd fall looking strong and this was good stuff so you are expecting a really fun 3rd fall. Well the 3rd fall wasn't as strong as the others and felt kinda flat which was kinda disappointing. This had some fun moments and even with the flat finish I'll push this on as a low-end pick.
