To explain, I gave two entrances for the Freebirds and MX since both were separate, long-term (1-year+) teams and gave one entrance to teams with interchangeable partners (La Res, 3 Count, etc). I think there are some great teams on there but we may want to revisit this idea and only pick 32 teams. I have seen most of these teams but have no idea how well the Beverly Bros or the Cuban Commandos worked together. On the flip, teams like Dibiase and Williams or Horner & Armstrong that I have seen are probably not in many people's tape collections.

Okay, do we need to narrow the criteria? Everyone who plans on voting, please make a post on what companies, eras, etc, you think you've seen enough footage from to judge properly and we'll go from there. I'm worried that it's basically going to be WWF tag teams from 1990-2005 when we're all said and done, because I doubt if a lot of people have even seen a Midnight Express versus Rock & Roll Express match. Hopefully I'm wrong.

That's 48 teams. We can actually work within that if that's cool with everyone. It just means we'll have to do seeds and the top 16 seeds will get an automatic bye to the second round.

Hell, we could probably eliminate 16 more without debate from anyone.

 

I can't think of one person who would give a vote to La Resistance.

 

Then again, a team we completely overlooked was Benjamin and Haas who worked as hard as anyone in their stint together.

I think they should replace La Res personally.

I'm sure some of these will be disputed, but I'm trying to help out.

I would sub one of the teams with the Fantastics, just don't know which ones yet.

Whoops, forgot the Fantastics. Okay, replace the Hollywood Blonds with them, because I flipped a coin between the Blonds and Owen/Bulldog for the last spot, not knowing the Fantastics were right there.

 

That's how I'd do it, at least.

Good choice esp. since the Blonds were a team that had the potential but never had the backing to be truly great.

That said, I'd probably still choose the Blonds over Owen and Davey Boy, just because I think they had better matches.

Agreed, simply because Owen and Davey mathed up well against each other, not with each other.

Anyone else? We need some type of indication that there is indeed interest in doing this tournament right now.
