April 23, 201114 yr Author comment_5470346 Great highlights of the match. Owen and his feathered hair work hard. Lawler piledrives Owen eight times and gets DQd. Lawler comes out and does another great promo, but first, we get the prequel to Owen's 1994 as he does a standard heel run wearing a neckbrace while Bert Prentice holds the mic.
May 11, 201114 yr comment_5471007 Wait wait wait EIGHT piledrivers in Memphis & all Owen ended up with was a neck brace? If not killing him that should have atleast left him in a coma for a while
December 9, 201311 yr comment_5575577 Would have loved to seen more of this match. Owen looked good. Lawler loses his cool at the end goes overboard with the piledrivers. Laughing that it's not even a real neck brace but a towel that Hart is wearing.
December 29, 201311 yr comment_5577807 Good-looking action, and possibly Owen's first match as a heel. Lawler goes nuts with piledrivers, drawing a DQ and setting up a no-time limit, no-disqualification rematch. Owen Hart and Bert Prentice are a hilariously mismatched couple. Owen for the first time proclaims himself the "King of Harts"! Owen is pretty scattershot in his promo but his patented whiny heel shtick is already there. Lawler notices that Owen is 6 inches shorter than he was before the match started. This is one of those "spell the result out without breaking kayfabe" promos, as they more or less spell out that Lawler is getting the Unified title back.
June 11, 201510 yr comment_5675185 Match looked really good and while 8 piledrivers seems excessive, they really are pushing over the extreme nature of this feud. I still am unsure about Prentice that while he does have an annoying look and promo skills, it really tilts back and forth between that and go away heat in my eyes. Both Owen and Lawler gave spirited promos around all of this action.
September 26, 20168 yr comment_5769681 I don't think we're supposed to believe that Lawler really piledrove Oewn eight times. The clip we saw showed four, and that's more than enough under any circumstances, even if Lawler's completely out of control as he seems to be here. Lawler's stuff is pretty standard and mostly a rehash of his original promo a couple of weeks before, but that's enough for this segment. As for Owen, he's really a mess here. This has never been his issue; he's just in Memphis because Bret's supposedly afraid to show his face. But to hear Owen talk here, you wouldn't even know he has a brother. The "King of Harts" stuff is a nice line, but it doesn't fit these particular circumstances at all, where Owen is pretty much Bret's stooge and nothing more. Shouldn't Bret be the "King of Harts", at least as far as Memphis goes? Maybe they knew he couldn't come in for a while and didn't want to tease something they couldn't deliver, but it still doesn't make much sense. Neither does Prentice, for that matter. If no one else is available. send Howard Finkel (who's already established as a heel to the Memphis audience because of his earlier appearances) as the Harts' mouthpiece; the Memphis regulars should be nowhere near this except for Lawler and whatever partners he may need at a given time.
