May 11, 201114 yr Author comment_5470985 Vince interviews Luger in an empty arena. I still can't get over what a good idea this whole push was, even if it didn't work.
December 23, 201311 yr comment_5577133 Empty arena but there was someone popping into camera view in the back over Luger's shoulder. Big build continues for Luger towards him winning title.
January 7, 201411 yr comment_5578908 Shiny, Happy Lex. I can't believe Vince seemingly didn't learn a thing about this when he attempted the Diesel push a year later when the exact same mistakes were made. McMahon, who continues to be nauseating here, more or less announces the "Who Is Lex Luger?" series.
June 12, 201510 yr comment_5675576 Who is Lex Luger was kind of a smart way in my eyes of presenting Lex as a face without it seeming too rushed. This empty arena promo worked for me and Lex spoke well.
September 26, 20169 yr comment_5769638 Luger does what he does well, but he's not really articulate enough to be a top face in the WWF manner. Hogan and Warrior may have spoken in tongues at times, but at least they were the type of speaker who people stopped to listen to, even if they came away saying "What the hell was that?". Luger doesn't fit that description, which is why he had Harley as a mouthpiece for his WCW World title run. I actually thought Vince was good here. He's still good on interviews and straight hype; it's when he actually has to call a match that he's bad. If he had more sense than ego, he'd put JR on Superstars and Raw now that he's signed him and retire from the booth, but when has Vince ever had more of anything than ego, grapefruits excepted?
