A fan keeps putting his hand on Shawn, who is leaving from his last match. He and Diesel are bullying the fan and the 1-2-3 Kid is due for a match, so he comes out. Shawn and Diesel refuse to let him walk by and beat him up. Mr. Perfect makes a quick save.

They played this out later, but we lost out on at least one probably fancammed Shawn vs Kid match because of the suspension. Since they were moving Perfect over to Diesel in singles matches, I wonder how long they planned on running Kid vs Shawn. Diesel was fine with IRS for a while.

September was a popular month for suspensions as Rick Steiner and Doink were nailed too. Diesel and Shawn bully the Kid for no reason here and attack him. I was half expecting Razor to make the save instead of Perfect.

Not much to see here. Perfect/Diesel might make sense from the standpoint of teaching Kevin Nash how to work, WWF-style, but it's not very inspiring as a feud.

123 KId is laughed at by Shawn and Diesel. We get a beatdown until Perfect makes the same. Everything felt odd about this giving the direction they went with things.

I never could figure out why they wanted to run Curt-Nash as a feud. Waltman-Michaels makes a bit more sense since both of them could move around, but the character of the 1-2-3 Kid wasn't anywhere near ready to be a championship contender yet, let alone a champion. Michaels had the IC belt (at least for now) but no one to work with long-term, which turned him into an afterthought.

 

It was almost as if Vince legitimately saw more potential in Nash at this time, which would make sense given his penchant for larger-than-life characters (and just plain large ones, too). Note that Nash is the one who gets the last shot in on Curt, which is also the last physical act of the segment. It's hard to mistake who Vince really wants the fans to remember.
