Everybody should watch Tony Yayo's I Know You Don't Love Me video at least TWICE to see if you can follow all the action going on in the four different cameras. It's a brilliantly little directed video and the chick in it gives new meaning to the term "video ho."

"Bonnie and Shyne" - Shyne

I fuckin LOVE this song. It's tied right up there with "Thug Love" as best "r&b thug" song ever.

Sorry... I'm in a music mood for some reason.

I'm giving the Biggie Duets album a spin right now. As the concept implies, the thing's loaded with guest appearances. Too much, in fact. I'm forgetting Biggie has anything to do with a great deal of the songs, where his presence is almost non-existent.

No doubt there are some hot tracks to be found (i.e. the Twista/Bone Thugs' Spit Your Game), but overall, it comes off more like yet another project to make a buck off Biggie's image. I'm not too sure how open he would've been to being linked with Akon and freaking KoRn, either.

I think me and Flyboy had that song (along with "Hold Ya Head" (feat. Bob Marley) and "Breaking Old Habits" (feat. Slim Thug & T.I.) about two months ago and the entire Duets album at least a month ago. To me, sounds like a solid project. Me and my former roommate were listening to it and the new DipSet mixtape the night before last and didn't skip one track. They've been playing the heck outta "The Most Shady" (feat. Diddy, Eminem & Obie Trice) on XM radio and I got "What You Want" (feat. Jay-Z) shortly after I found out about "Breaking Old Habits" and "Spit Your Game."

The Notorious B.I.G feat. Jay-Z - "What You Want" from the new Biggie Duets album. You wanna talk about HFGO? Nigga, this is it.

Two of my favorite songs from Duets, though are "I'm With Whatever" (feat. Lil Wayne, Jim Jones & Juelz Santana) and "Get Your Grind On" (feat. Big Pun & Fat Joe).

Admittedly the album is loaded with cameos (sometimes overloaded with too many on one song) but like you say, that's the point. What I don't agree with is the "yet another project to make a buck offa Biggie's image" comment. This is only the second posthumous release Bad Boy has made since his death, (Born Again was the first and that was in '99!) as compared to the millions of Tupac albums and compliations that have come out since his passing. Unlike 'Pac, Biggie didn't have 100's of songs and verses laid down before he was murdered. And according to everyone at Bad Boy this is also the final one (hence the albums secondary title "The Final Chapter"). They say they've exhausted all of B.I.G.'s previously unheard material.

The hot joint on that Diplomats mixtape, Flyboy, is "Pushin'" with J.R. Writer and 40 Cal. They use the beat that Bun B and Scarface rhyme over from Bun's album Trill. I told you you need to get that; that Trill album is really good and surprised the eff outta me.

DD: that song you sent me, "Be Like Hov" is from the S. Carter collection; once I paid attention to the lyrics I realized I had heard it before, just different beat.

Yesterday I heard a new LL song, "Whatcha Want" with Freeway. Odd combination.

I think my guiltiest pleasure right now is "Check On It" by Beyonce' from the Pink Panther soundtrack. Sounds like some '60s sock hop shit. Slim Thug has two verses on the radio version, he splits rhymin' duties with Bun B in the video (which you MUST see!!!). H-Town really came up in 2005!

The video for Check On It's like a bad acid trip.

As for the whole making money off Biggie's name thing, saying "yet another" was probably too extreme, but it still comes off as a project that rides his name for the sake of profits. I don't have a problem with them putting out unreleased material by him (although there's stuff we've heard from him here), but like I said, half of the time, I forgot I was listening to an album Biggie had anything to do with. Does that make it bad? No, it just sounds more like a polished mixtape that features a lot of Biggie.

Cam's got a video out for the "Get 'Em Daddy" remix worth watching if for nothing other than the fur arm sling he's sporting.

G-Unit - 300 Shots

Incidentally, I fucking want to kill Whoo Kid for not shutting his fucking mouth, giving his number out over the track and putting that fucking "WHOOOOOO KIIIIID!" SOUND CLIP OVER THE TRACK every fucking 30 MOTHERFUCKING SECONDS. SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU SHITHEAD, I DON'T GIVE A FUCK ABOUT YOU, SHUT THE FUCK UP AND STOP PRESSING THE SOUNDBYTE BUTTON YOU FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT.

I swear, in 7 minutes there are like 20 interruptions and sound clip inserts. Motherfucker needs his balls ripped off, stuffed in his mouth and his lips sewn shut. Most annoying motherfucker ever. At least Kay Slay knows when to shut up. Whoo Kid needs throat cancer like Beyonce needs better beats than that fucking Pink Panther bullshit.

comment_4335123

You can probably find a copy of that mp3 without Whoo Kid all over it by now. I downloaded the version you have, that debuted on G-Unit radio back when Mase first signed, on Thursday September 1st, 2005, according to my computer. I do remember liking the fact that they sampled Compton's Most Wanted, "Growing Up in the Hood" for the beat, though.

I can't stand the mixtapes where DJs insist on constantly talking over them. I know they're trying to promote themselves, but nothing ruins a hot new track, like "STREETSWEEPER!" being proclaimed over the track out of nowhere.

Bruiser and Flyboy know about it already (FB actually called me at 12am MY time, he was so amped!) but Cam'ron has fired the first shot in a war of words with none other than Jay-Z.

Find "You Got That (Gotta Love It)" and "Swagger Jacker (You're Not a Writer)" NOW.

Indeed, I was in AWE.

Like CJ and I said last night, it's not even the what he said about Jay (although, he did say some shit that just made me say 'DAAMMMNN' or laugh out loud) it's just the WAY he just put him on the spot. You can said it's to help sell units for his upcoming Killa Season album (due out February 14th, 2006 -- "Happy Valentine's Day, motherfuckers! or whatever, but still... I'm still kinda shocked he just put Jay on the spot like that. Does this mean that ALL of the Diplomats will have it out for Jay now? Things are about to get VERY interesting.

Anyhow back on topic:

G-Unit - "You Already Know"

Nobody likes to be compared to a Fraggle Rock character.

CJ and FB never call me. :(

Does this mean that ALL of the Diplomats will have it out for Jay now?

Juelz actually signed to Def Jam as a solo artist after all the former Rocafella artists started choosing homes once the label was split between Jay and Dame. Santana might want to keep his mouth shut about President Carter or we'll never see another album from him...at least not with the Carter Administration's imprint on it.

But on the bright side, you know Jim Jones has NEVER ducked beef, in fact, likes to INITITATE IT (Nas, Mase, etc.). He is to Cam what Yayo is to 50. Even though he can't rhyme his way out of a paper bag, it'll make for some really humorous songs.

CJ and FB never call me.

Because I often find your choice of avatar disrespectful and condescending to my race.
