I no longer have any music on my computer because apparently, I'm an idiot. I had to format my hard drive. I got spyware that I wasn't able to get rid of. Some type of security bullshit. Well, anyway, I copied all of my music over to my iPod. I didn't want to lose my music because, honestly, it was all that I really had on my HD anyway.

Long story short, iPod doesn't support the transfering of songs from the iPod back to a computer due to some anti-piracy shit. So, I downloaded another program that was supposed to allow me to move my songs back to my computer.

Long story short, my iPod no longer has any songs on it and neither does my computer.

That's just a sad, sad story of computer illiteracy and it always pains me to hear'em. You don't need a special program to transfer songs back and forth from your iPod to your own computer and doing such shouldn't have caused you to lose the music on your iPod anyway even if something went wrong with your computer. How did the songs disappear from your iPod?

"Export library." You can't move songs from your iPod back to your system but you can move them from your system (or from CD) to your iPod. It's part of their "anti-piracy."

Just as an aside, is that Yayo smoking the blunt in the Touch It Remix video just before Banks verse when the screen is split between Missy and who I assume to be Yayo? I can't really tell cause he's mean mugging. It's odd if they left him in considering what apprently went down.

I just caught the video for Ghost's Back Like That and I got a sudden sense of deja vu. It seems Ghost likes to make songs where he bitches out an unfaithful ex ala "Never Be The Same Again" with another R&B crooner, Carl Thomas on Bulletproof Wallets and "Wildflower" on Ironman.

Knowing old Ghost, this ain't the song I expected to be his first single but I'll give it to the kid, Ne-Yo, he can sing a little bit; I'm feelin' the hook even if it is paraphrased a bit from Jay-Z's "Song Cry" ("what I did was wack, but you don't get your man back like that!")

I wonder how it bodes for the rest of the album and/or its success, however. With "Never Be The Same Again" as the lead-off single for Bulletproof Wallets, his gamble on catering to the ladies with Carl Thomas but with a topic all the fellas could relate to didn't really pan out for him. Meanwhile, for one of his most critically-acclaimed albums, he chose the decidedly radio-unfriendly "Apollo Kids" for his first single. Which is the smarter move? Mass appeal or the streets? Time (and SoundScan) will tell.

Anthony Hamilton - "Pass Me Over"

... Everyone should listen to this song at least once. And, after the initial listen you won't be able to stop.

I just burned a copy of "VH-1's 30 Most Famous Videos Of All-Time".

These include a lot of Michael Jackson and Madonna, as well as some classics (Money For Nothing, Sledgehammer) and some more recent fare ("Learning To Fly", "Weapon Of Choice").

Frankly, I'm amazed how revolutionary the Madonna videos (especially Justify My Love) seemed at the time, much like how Basic Instinct was a big deal back in 1992... Both are considered old news now and, IMHO, rightfully so.

Somebody sent this to me. It is a bunch of songs from the 60s and 70s. There are a lot of one hit wonders, and some really goofy songs, but there are some great songs on it too.

See if you can find Ragged Old Flag by Johnny Cash. I think it is on playlist 3. Your eyes will tear up.

Enjoy!
