Posted February 25, 201114 yr comment_5466059 DWB/Ron Wright interview. Wright talks about offering Reno Riggins an internship. Reno says he needs more time. Finish of Garvin/Horner v. DWB/Orndorff from previous week. Down and Dirty with Dutch interview segment with Paul Orndorff. This was shot at Horner's old high school which Orndorff refers to as a ghetto like New York City. Orndorff gets a little boy out of the crowd and asks him who his favorite wrestler is. He says "White Lightning" and Paul attacks him for his accent. Orndorff calls his dad a drunk and says all the women in town look like hogs. Orndorff takes the kids lightning bolt and destroys it. Horner comes flying in and attacks him. EXTRA Tracy Smothers/Rock N Roll Express promo (local) Tracy Smothers v. Killer Kyle v. Dirty White Boy v. Jimmy Golden Awesome opening as Smothers rolls up Killer Kyle at the bell while he is still in his full suit! Lots of milking the crowd. Smothers cross body did not look great but it was sold well. They did a good job of establishing dissension with DWB and Golden with Golden hitting Anthony when Smothers ducked and Smothers talking it up to DWB as if it was a deliberate shot. Tracy works through a test of strength and hits a nice dropkick. They tease another spot with Golden hitting Anthony but they stop each other only for Tracy to crack their heads together. Smothers wins with a quick sunset flip out of the corner which was kind of uneventful. Anthony comes in and immediately spikes Smothers with a DDT. Cool spot with Smothers getting thrown over the top behind Curti's back and then clotheslined back over when he tried to skin the cat in. DWB busting out the subtle eye poke on the Tracy come back attempt was nice. Really liked Tracy's selling in this as it carries a match that does not feature to many huge shots. Anthony hits one shoulder tackle and then goes for a second but Tracy ducks and DWB takes a nice bump to the floor. DWB hits a good looking cross body but Smothers rolls through for the pin. This is not a slam dunk but this was a good match, a good showcase for Tracy and a good way to establish the TV title gimmick. Tracy Smothers promo Profanity laced backstage encounter with the Studd Stable, the Bodies and Cornette. EXTRA Jim Cornette/Bodies interview. Armstrong comes out and lays down the law on Pritchard's loaded boot. Lane calling the Golden clan halfbreeds amused me. Kevin Sullivan v. The Mongolian Stomper This sucks mainly because neither one of these guys shots look like they would hurt anyone. The plus is that Sullivan does throw fire and the post-match with Lee trying to make the save and getting his ass kicked was cool. Dirty White Boy/Corny promo (local) Kevin Sullivan interview Dixie Dynomite v. Paul Lee Lee takes the bumps you want him to take. Fun enough competitive squash. Brian Lee v. Kevin Sullivan (Street Fight) This is just the finish of a house show. A druid tries to run in and gets pressed onto Curtis. Lee gets stabbed with the spike by Sullivan. Bob Armstrong promo Tracy Smothers/Rock N Roll Express promo (local) Dirty White Boy/Ron Wright promo. Wright is awesome shitting on Riggins for not making up his mind. Caudle getting smart with DWB was great too. Tracy Smothers v. Reno Riggins I was impressed with this. They worked standard opening mat stuff early then built to a big Reno splash which Tracy caught well. I liked that Tracy was so giving as it made the tv title stip seem more important than it would in a typical jobber match. Surprised to see Riggins kick out of a Smothers cross body. They botch around some stuff at the tale end but this was a decent effort for a match that could have been phoned in. Tracy Smothers promo. He calls Reno over and shakes his hand. Down and Dirty with Dutch interview segment with Tim Horner. God Horner was just painful Highlight package outlining the issues with the Stable/Bodies/RnR's EXTRa Dirty White Boy promo (local) Bob Armstrong promo. This is another segment where the disc really is not playing right at all and you can't make out what is happening. This has been a consistent theme on the last five minutes of several disc now and has me really worried about the rest of this batch. This segment appears to end with a Stable/Bodies brawl but it is unwatchable on the disc.
