March 5, 201114 yr Author comment_5466608 And away we go... -------------------- When collecting this footage from the hundreds of VHS tapes I had of Buddy's, I included every second of "Portland Wrestling" I could find. That's why there may only be a few minutes of footage from a certain date. All of this footage came from what Buddy Rose recorded himself, so there are a few quirks. For example, there may be commercials for the first part of a show, then some editing. Since the show aired at 11:00 & the matches ended around that time, the editing began when Buddy got home and started watching. It's also a pretty well known fact that Buddy taped the show to see how he did. Because of that, he may have only taped parts of shows that he was on. Some of this footage may be found on other Portland collections floating around, but this is first generation. In dubbing over the shows to DVD, I did my best to keep some kind of continuity with show dates. I didn't want to jump ahead to many months on the same disc, that's why there may be less than an hour on some discs & over two hours on other. Also nice to see a little bit of Salem TV (Capital Wrestling) though I wish there was more. This is the only Salem stuff I've ever seen around besides what's on my Beta Classics set. May 16, 201213 yr Author comment_5502693 Glad this got bumped anyway, because I realized something while going through some DVDs: Verne Siebert's Portland stuff, some of which I have, is from the syndicated Big Time Wrestling version of the show that aired in Seattle and some other markets, which often had different matches from the same taping as the Portland Wrestling 90 minute show. I don't have exact dates and I'd have to go through it, but it's possible there's stuff not on Rich'a tapes from the same period.
