Roach has really impressed me so far. He was quite slick for his size, but when it was time to bring the thunder, he could do that as well. Steele looked good also, hitting Roach with some stiff, stiff uppercuts and flashing slick roll-up variations. I liked the way he surprised Roach with a backslide to even the match and the way Roach was a little more prepared every time he tried to do it again. I found it a little annoying when the ref counted after every move down the stretch. It created a choppier feel than necessary. But I still enjoyed this enough for a nomination. Big Daddy & Steve Grey vs. Red Berry & Tony Walsh 10/10/81 - Simple formula here with Grey outwrestling the heels, getting in a bit of trouble and then tagging in Big Daddy to clean them up. Entertaining enough, but it only lasted five minutes. Big Daddy & Kid Chocolate vs. Tony Walsh & Mark Rocco 3/29/80 - This was a better version of the same formula even though Chocolate was no Grey. Walsh and Rocco found some creative ways to beat on the little guy, and I liked the way Chocolate wiggled out of the move that cost him the first fall to set up the hot tag to Big Daddy. Rocco and Walsh then did a great job of bouncing around for the fat man. I was thinking nomination, but then they did the stupid ending where the heels just walked away. Fuck that.
