Super Medico (Jose Estrada) vs. Ron Lilliand (October 1986) Squash.

TNT vs. Charlie Camper (October 1986) Squash.

Frankie Lancaster vs. Franklin Washington (October 1986) Squash.

Jason the Terrible vs. Astro Man (October 1986) Squash. Huracan Castillo Jr. & Miguel Perez Jr. vs. The Destroyer & Francisco Rosete (October 1986) Squash.

NWA World Heavyweight Title: "Nature Boy" Ric Flair © vs. Miguel Perez Jr. (9/20/86) We get a handshake before the match which was nice of Flair and they start the match with some good chain wrestling. We get a clip in the action and we come back to Miguel making his comeback so we missed the heat section. Hugo is great on commentary here as Miguel is really good at being the fiery babyface but totally fucks up the finish where he was supposed to miss a dropkick but connected on Flair's arm then went for it again where he missed and Flair used the ropes to win.

Abdullah the Butcher vs. Giant Baba (9/20/86) WILD seeing Baba wearing blue tights. Baba jumps Abby on the floor to start the match and cracks him over the head with a wooden chair which brings out the juice. Baba starts pounding on Abby before Abby would fight back breaking out the fork as Huracan Castillo & Gary Hart get into a verbal battle on the floor which allows Baba to regain the advantage. The battle went back to the floor where Abby pounded Baba's head on the table then beat him back in the ring for a countout win. This was a fun little brawl.

Universal Heavyweight Title Tournament - Finals: Carlos Colon vs. Terry Funk (9/21/86) Funk bumps like a maniac as soon as the match starts so this should be fun. Colon throws some solid punches and uses his headbutt to subdue Funk early until it goes to the outside where Funk piledrives Colon on the wooden deck around the ring. Funk then throws his great punches before posting Colon bringing out the juice which Funk goes to work on immediately. Funk locks on a sleeper before Colon uses his ass to break free from causing Funk to sell like he got shot in the ribs. Colon then starts bashing Funk's head on turnbuckles all over the ring with Funk selling like a madman before the action goes back outside where they brawl around for a while. Colon gives Funk a taste of his own medicine as posts him then piledrives him on the wooden deck. Funk comes back in the ring selling the nutshot he received on the floor big time with Colon just firing punches until going to work on the left leg setting up the figure-four. Funk flails his arm like a helicopter until finally getting the ropes to break the hold. Dory would come in the ring hitting Colon with his cowboy boot as his brother is selling his leg injury as the ring is being pelted by trash. This then turns into a headbutt battle which was great before Colon locked in an inside cradle to win the title. Rain starts pouring down as the finish comes and this was great fun with Funk being awesome as usual. Easy nomination.

The early squashes on this don't provide much of interest. I do think it's arguable that we could include a Chicky/Ron Starr local promo or two for the set and there some on here, but that is pushing it. The tag squash was actually not bad and fairly competitive.

Ric Flair © vs. Miguel Perez Jr.

I've already watched this, but I figured I'd watch it again. This is bizarre as it is chopped up by a long promo and local promotion video. As far as Flair matches v. local heroes go this was fine, but in no way was it outstanding. Flair definitely did a good job leading Perez through the match. The Flair in control stuff was fine, but as is often the case, the "Flair on the ropes spots" were better and more exciting. I also liked the finish, even though it felt cheap for Flair to win that way against a guy who wasn't on top. I could see an argument for this if it was complete, but this did feel like it was missing a good bit.

Abdullah the Butcher vs. Giant Baba

This has a lot of novelty to it. I'm not even all that sure how good the match actually is, but it's hard not to like it as you've got Abby, Baba and Gary Hart running around in a high stakes setting in PR, brawling. The finish is stupid and I can't nominate it, but I could see it as an EXTRA

Colon v. Funk is already nominated and seconded.

This is the second time Castillo has been on the segment. The first time was talking about his transition from being a wrestler to being commissioner. This time the focus is on his duties as commissioner.

He's the commissioner of the entire Caribe an region.

He says that fans misunderstand his powers because they believe he can suspend a wrestler anytime they do something bad. That's not the case, if it were he would basically have to suspend wrestling in Puerto Rico. He has to listen t o different sources such as the referee and the wrestlers in order to gauge the situation.

Lisette asks if he has ever had a situation where his hands have been tied. Castillo says that not really, he has to be impartial. He uses as an example his son, who is a wrestler. He has to be impartial with him, so if he has to sanction him because the situation calls for it, he will.

He had to pass a test by the WWC in order to assume the commissioner position. It's not an easy job contrary to what fans may think.

He is asked of the wrestlers he has faced in the ring, which has been the most quality in the ring? Castillo says that from his neutral viewpoint he would have to say Carlos Colon. Because of his agility, his keen mind for wrestling.

He describes himself as having a violent temper, thinks things over, noble, helps people when he can.
