Posted March 8, 201114 yr comment_5466725 Bert Royal vs. Steve Logan 8/23/75 Johnny Saint vs. Mick McManus 11/22/75 Mick McManus & Steve Logan vs. Johnny Saint & 5/4/74 Johnny Saint vs. Johnny Kidd 7/27/81 - Saint gave up a lot of weight but carried a serious experience advantage, and the story was that no matter what Kidd tried, the veteran remained a step ahead. Like a lot of Saint matches, this sometimes came off as more an exhibition of his skill than a competitive contest. Saint did some cool stuff as always, but Kidd needed to compete a bit more to push this into nomination territory. Johnny Kidd vs. Clive Myers 11/13/84 - This was similar to the Saint match in that Myers stayed a step ahead at almost every juncture. This one featured a bit more striking and some displays of ridiculous flexibility by Clive. But again, it was a strong Kidd rally short of serious consideration.
