Posted March 9, 201114 yr comment_5466810 It was interesting watching this in sequence with Kidd's matches against Saint and Clive Myers, because it became apparent how much better Grey was at putting the youngster over as a threat. It wasn't just that Kidd took the first fall; he came off as competitive in many exchanges throughout the match. Grey wasn't as flashy as Saint or Myers, but he was better at keeping in touch with the big picture. My only complaint would be that he came off as so genial here that it felt like a hard workout more than a fierce contest. Anyway, it's worth a look from everyone though not a high-end match. April 12, 201213 yr comment_5500025 This feels a bit like including a Steve Grey match for the sake of including a Steve Grey match. I watched it again after I realised that Childs had already nominated it and while it's an entertaining bout the same can be said about just about every Steve Grey match. Kidd wasn't as good as I remembered him from the Ken Joyce match and so it was a strong carry by Grey but the question is whether a few neat exchanges are enough to include a match, especially a genial one as Childs rightly says.
